POST OP GIRLS – How long does this nipple sensitivity go on for?? xxx

Hi Guys.

So im nearly 5 weeks post op and this nipple sensitivity is driving me nuts!!!!!

Im constantly having to put cotton wool in my macom bra because I can’t bear anything touching them.

How long is this meant to last for? Is there anything I can do to make them return to normal?? xxx

hi hunni, my nipples were extra sensitive for 8/9 weeks! But it does get better, and to be honest, i would rather have sensitive nipples that loss of feeling x

My nipples are bad too. Drives me bonkers but like u say sensation better then nuthing.

i’m 2 weeks post op and my right boob & nipple are sooo sensetive – whereas no feeling in my left!! i do hope it comes back??!! x

mine are a little tender but not bad now, i still have torpedo nips tho

Katlouise01 I have exactly the same as you. My left ones still numb but the slightest brush of my right nipple and bloomin hell!

jadem its weird isnt it! – my left has basically been ‘numb’ since my op 2 weeks ago – whereas have had twinges / shooting pains / over-sensitivity in my right one! if i walk too fast, or go to run up the stairs, i automatically hold my right one as it feels like it needs more support..

When i saw the nurse at my 7 day post op check she did say treat ur boobs like 2 seperate operations, as they will settle at different rates… sooo i spose our left boobs will ‘settle’ when their ready!! lol x

Haha! I know what you mean. It’s so odd but my whole left boob was numb and now its just the nipple and a small area underneath so we might get our feeling back eventually! I had the same thing with the shooting pains, my right boob was aching in my bra so I had to give it a breather now and then!

im the same left one is still numb and my right is very sensitive im 5 weeks just hope my left comes back to life lol x
