post op girls- period confusion!

Probably going to sound really dopey but I have no idea what’s going on with my monthly cycle atm.. came off my pill 2 weeks before my op and had my last period the week before op. Went back on my pill 2 weeks after my op and now I’m 3 weeks post op so been using pill gain for a week however I came on my period lastnight.. Didn’t know this was possible if taking pill as I usually come on during my week off the pill?? Should I carry on taking daily pill whilst on period now or come off and start pill again when I come off period x

When you come off the pill and then quickly go back on the pill your body releases the eggs. It’s just yoyr body reacting to the changes you’ve made with taking the pills. If you are having intercourse I’d advise use extra contraception x

I had this when I had a break with my pill a few month back. I was bleeding whilst on the pill, when I went back on it. I went to my doctors and they said its common if you have had a break, it’s called break through bleeding. Carry on taking them and your body will sort itself out eventually xx
