Post Op Girls – Personal Question!

Hi girls,

As stated its a bit of a personal question but this is the best place to ask! Before my surgery my nipples were super sensitive in a very good way if you get what i mean, and obviously since surgery from about the nipple downwards i’ve been as numb as as if they arent mine! I was wondering how long, if ever, it took for anyone’s sensentions there to return to how it was before surgery, beause if there was a negative aspect to a boob job, this has got to be it!

hey hun, im 4months post op and still have a lil patch of numbness on my right boob, its been there from day one, ive heard that in most cases the feeling returns but it could take upto 2 yrs x iv also found that my nipples are extra sensitive and it can be sore sometimes, but everybodys different hunni xx

I had full feeling from day one, but from girls that didn’t i have heard feeling came back in days, and some months. It can take up to a year x

it just seems such a long time to wait, i never properly considered it! im 9 weeks post op and still vertually totally numb from the nipple down and to be touched there by my boyfriend just feels uncomfortable/unpleasent. not sure if the fact they are unders make this more common? its a real downer if im honest! i know i should give it more time im just so impatient lol. every single finger and toe crossed that eventually i’ll return to normal tho xxx

Stay positive honey,give it time,I know that’s not what you want to hear right now,everything takes time, we are individuals,everyone heals differently,some feelings come back immediately,others take a little longer,just because you do not have sensitivity now,that does not mean that it will not return,happy healing,xxx

does it make a difference if you have unders/overs?

my personal opinion,(and I am not medically trained)I think it depends on the individual honey,regardless of the procedure.I believe that our breast react and heal individually,2 people could have an identical procedure yet the results will not be the same,as our bodies heal at different stages.But that is just my personal opinion.xx

Im 3 months p.o, my nipples are back to normal but I am numb from under the nipple downwards still x

Hey I had unders 9wks ago n my r still numb from the nipple down! I can feel the pressure but no feeling if u know what I mean. But like u I don’t like the feeling of that, feels weird. I can only relate it to my c section n that was numb for quite a while n my left side came back b4 my right side. N now it back to normal (3yrs on) but sometimes a tiny bit of my right side will feel less sensitive not numb just a bit different from normal. But like I said that’s only sometime. Hope this helps a little. Xx

I had unders 6 weeks ago and was numb to start with (for about 3 weeks) but now have full feeling back! so there is hope xx
