Hi huni,
I started yesterday at 5 weeks post-op. I did mainly leg work, Cross trainer/bike/horizontal bike and some sit ups.
Be careful doing the plank – it hurt me and I had overs!!
I had a super duper bra on thats been voted best shock absorber in 3 magazines so felt really supported. Cant wait to go running in the next few weeks!! xxxx
which shock absorber bra was it hun? cant wait to get back to working out
Which shock Absober is it. I won’t to get one as I had over, heard this was the best on the Market to use when training. I can’t seem to lose weight getting me down, was depressedabout boobs now depressed how jelly on the plate I kook
i feel the same put quite a bit of weight on and was getting into the gym then i went for my op now im lost without it only 2 weeks post op and i cannot wait till i get the all clear to get back to the gym lol xx

Its literally called ‘shock absorber’. Try http://www.shockabsorber.co.uk They also sell them at good sports shops e.g. JJB/JD sports. Quite pricey, but I got mine from a Wonderbra outlet in Cheshire Oaks for a much better price!
xxx
I got this one: http://www.shockabsorber.co.uk/focus/run-sportsbra.html
xx
I have a shock absorber got it from john lewis ticket said £35 but i got it for £25 in sale

I’ve been a bit naughty and i went back to the gym after 3 weeks, scars all sealed and i feel fine. I don’t do classes though or any over head stuff, just lower half exercises i.e. 30mins on the bikes that look like arm chairs and 30mins x-trainer but just hold the fixed arms not the pumpy ones!
When i asked the nurse about this she wasn’t happy about it but her reason was because the body has been through a major op and that it needs all the enrgy in the body to repair and not been expellled on gym work. Also that people don’t realise they’re doing more that they should at the gym. However, i am a gym addict and simply can’t not go to the gym. I was starting to get very stressed without the gym, it’s my therapy hahaha!
I’m feeling a bit the same, fed up not doing any fizz. I was running about 25 miles a week before my op
I over did it yesterday though! I mucked out the horses fields and stables which took me 3 hours was humping big containers of water around, had to deal with the vet and poultice a horses hoof and went for a 4 mile walk! I couldn’t believe how difficult it was too use a sweeping brush! Suffered big time last night, right boob was really sore and swollen and I got a bollocking from my husband……..oops
I was wearing my level 4 shock absorber sports bra though which I got from e-bay for £9.99, style b517……its a god send!!!
I am just going to see how I feel, 6 weeks is what mya give to cover themselves you might feel up to excercising before or after the 6 weeks mark, but I am too a gym addict and I have 5 weeks left. I dont think I will last but I will just see how I feel and remind myself not to push myself. x x x
