I am hoping to get my op this october and my little boy will only just have turned 2. My mum is off for a week to help me out at home, but then once she has gone back to work i will be on my own! A bit worried about picking him up and things. I will try and get as much help off friends during the 2nd and 3rd week but still worried! He can be a bit rough….. any advice??

hey hun i had mine done on the 13th and im so happy my son is with his dad for a week, because i know i would not be able to look after him, my son is 2 as well. all the medication i am taking, is given me such a terrible headache and all i want to do is close my eyes and rest. however im more sore then in terrible pain. definitely try and have someone there as long as you can to take over, because you do really need to rest your body and let your scars heal x x x

I have a 2 yr old (in sep) n a 3 yr old (in aug) I’m now 3 n half weeks post op with unders. I had my op on a tue n my mum had them from mon to fri. We had them back for the weekend n then sun evening me n the girls went to my mums for the wk (hubby working) I didn’t do alot while at my mums as was making thd most of the help :) when I came home to get little one in n out of the cot I have two step stepladders n she loved climbing into bed :) n for the high hair just climbed on another chair to get to hers :) when I was back home on my own I was supprised at what I could do. Took me a little longer but I did it. Now Im back to normal I’d say. I’m still careful with what I do but can do it. I think if ur at ur mums/ she’s with u really try n rest while u can. When changing nappies I got my youngest to lie down with her feet on the floor n got her to lift her bum up so I didn’t have to lift her :) again she loved it, turned it into a game. I’m not sure if I would of been able to lift her but I though best not :) hope this helps abut :) xx
