Post-Op help

Hi everyone!

Had rhinoplasty on Sunday 18th Jan so I’m currently on day 2 post op. My swelling and bruising is so bad! I feel really weak and groggy at the moment too. Does anyone have any advice on anything I can do to speed up the recovery process? I know I have to be patient but my left eye is so swollen I can barely open it. I’d upload pictures but I’d probably scare you all!

Hi Kiran, i hope your feeling well.

do not worry, the swelling and bruising is completly normal, i had black eyes for 10 days, everything will subside over time just keep positive.

Hi Holly! Thanks for your reply! The swelling and bruising has gone down a lot already 🙂 How many days after surgery did you have your cast removed, and did it hurt? Can’t wait to get mine off now! Are you happy with your results so far? x

Hi Kiran, I had my cast on for 14 days. When it comes off its a very strange feeling and it does swell up instantly so dont be alarmed.
Swelling can persist for 6-18 months.

Yes i am so so so happy with my results and dont know why I waitied so long in the first place to have it done xxx

Aww good to know you’re happy! Your nose looks lovely! I have my post-op consultation on Monday. I hope that’s when they’re going to remove the cast

I really can’t wait! I’m just hoping they do remove it on Monday as it will only be 8 days post op and you had yours on for two weeks. Don’t think I can last that long lol

Dont worry haha, surgeons do keep them on for different amounts of time (I had an open complex rhino too) x

Had my cast off today Holly! Absolutely love my nose! 😀
