Post op questions can anyone help please?

I had my op on the 6th and have a few questions, can anyone help please?

1. How long do we have to wear the stockings for?

2. When can the white tape come off?

3. My breasts are really far apart at the mo, I had 525 overs do they come closer together on their own when they soften or should I try and get a bra to do this?

4. When are you allowed to smoke again?

5. When can I lie down again?

Should have asked these questions before they discharged me but just felt so out of it!

hi Hun- I can help with number 5! I had my post op check up with the nurse 8 days after and she said that I could start sleeping normally as soon as I feel ready. hope that helps you! xx

I didn’t wear any stockings so not sure on that one. Did they not say?

The tapes will come off at your post op appointment. Mine came off after 10 days.

Your breast do feel far apart at first. Mine have settled lurvly now and I would say after 11 days have came closer together; I’m really happy with them.

I’m not sure about the smoking thing.

I lay propped up for the first week then lowered myself down. I’ve tried lying on my side after 10 nights can only do it for a while then need to go back onto my back which I hate coz I love lying on my side..grrrrrr!!

Hi there, Thanks for answering my questions. I’m doing really well thanks and I am so glad I had this done! Stiffness has eased alot and I’m not in too much pain just more discomfort. I have a really young son so its hard not being able to pick him up whenever I feel like it. Have to have him passed to me so I can change his bum and feed him etc. How longs it been since your op and how do you feel now?

I took the stockings off the night of my op when I got home. The nurse will take your tape off.
