Thanks girls! I am happy with how it looks so far but I’m so swollen and puffy and bruised around my eyes they’re almost shut, my nose is still oozing blood I’m starting to wonder if its worth it! I really hope so.. I’m not gonna lie I feel terrible right now! Is it normal for it to be this bad?? help! xxx

by day 4 i was how your sounding right now, just felt like rubbish! my nose still oozes now, more snot tho than blood and im on day 8! x

Hey Hallix, I think this is pretty normal babe. I felt rubbishy a few days in. Just generally not well, uncomfotable etc etc…i think its all the anaesthtic coming out of your body as well as everything else. You should start to feel better within the next couple of days. And the oozy thing, it is soo gross isnt it? Buuttt again, that will clear up soon! It will start to dry and then when you go see the nurse (are you going to see them at 1 week?) they can clean you up – i didnt want to do it myself because i nearly fainted at the sight of my nose (soo not pretty!!) plus i didnt want to damage it x

oh no rinuale, I hope my 4th day isn’t going to be doubly as bad as today! hopefully this is the peak… I don’t know how it could get worse! all the oozing makes my nose tickle n is so annoying!

yeah kaylees, im due to have stitches out on Tuesday so hopefully they’ll do something… I’ve cleaned around my nose but I want to clean inside! I actually feel so over dramatic lol, its so much more uncomfortable than I realised it would be. such a wuss! it really is gross…

what day did the oozing start stopping for you guys?

I think I may have got a cold just before surgery too… about to have a hot curry lol. in hope it will help!

when were you able to start being able to breathe through nose again?

i didnt have much swelling or bruising tho the next day so i think thats why i got mine all on day 4! my nose still got stuff coming out of it, its real annoying but it wil all calm down soon! nurse cleaned around my nose and took sticky tape stuff off as well!

i cleaned some blood off around my nose but yesterday was the day i cleaned inside and literally god everything out scabs of blood it was gross now its all clean but it did swell up because of it and only just gone down now.

iv just started being able to breathe again well lastnight it was i woke up and realised i was breathing through my nose woo! but sometimes it gets blocked but its not bad atall xx

omg wow that didnt make sense. i cleaned some off the blood of the day after surgery then Yesterday was the day i cleaned inside and took everything out

I think I noticed my oozing was gone by about 6 days. My breathing took a while and it was quite subtle…little by little coming back and one nostril before the other. I was still sounding nasally at about. Week 3 although I could breathe through my nose by that point, I think I just got so used to not breathing through my nose I just forgot to when I was able. Im still like that now and I’m 7 weeks PO X

I had my rhino almost 11 days ago and found that I started to feel normal and less fragile by day 9. I’ve got used to the splint now and its even stopped itching! The 3rd day was the worse – my face whole swelled up! Can’t breath out of my nose though , which is starting to worry me!! x
