I had Vaser yesterday and was discharged at around 2:30pm. I’ve been really ill since, I had A LOT of blood leakage. It’s been so bad if I stand up it’s been running down my legs, I feel sick and dizzy. I’ve passed out twice already and if I stand up for more than a few minutes I go light headed, my body keeps going freezing cold but I’m sweating like crazy. Did anyone else experience this after Vaser?

Forgot to say I’ve called the emergency line twice and all I’ve been told to do is drink water and rest which is what I am doing anyway

Hi chelsea, I had vaser on Wednesday feeling much better now but felt so sick for the 1st day, I think the co-codamol didn’t suit me either. I decided to just take paracetamol and the ibuprofen and feel much better for it! Hang in there! X

Glad you are feeling better. I don’t mind the feeling sick but I’ve passed out twice and it’s not pleasant lol. Thank you for replying x

No probs, hope you’re okay. They told me to drink sweet drinks to overcome any dizziness. I had my first shower yesterday which is very scary, I didn’t really see much difference to my shape but hopefully I’m very swollen?! They only removed 1.2 litre. Fingers crossed. Are you stuggling with 4G vest? X

Yeah the nurse in the clinic told me to drink sweet drinks but the emergency nurse told me to only drink water 😐 I don’t know how much I’ve had removed because no one told me, they didn’t even go through aftercare with me before I was discharged. It’s foul isn’t it? I feel like a Victorian lol, never been so uncomfortable in my life! x

I know! I look like a giant black frog! Lol!. Not even sure they’ve taken enough..very stressed about this as it’s not cheap and don’t think I could do it again! I’m sure you’ll feel much better tomorrow, I did, it’s probably the drugs leaving your system, I leaked for 24 hours but it soon settled down and I feel fine now, apart from the awful compression veSt squeezing my ribs, lots of thigh bruising today too..Not a good look

Yeah my patient co-ordinator has as well and she’s dropped 2 dress sizes so hopefully all the pain and stuff will be worth it!

Hi Chelsea, I had my vaser 2 weeks ago. I passed out after surgery. For me it was cz the garment was far too tight over my boobs and started feeling really claustraphobic in what you have to wear! I was also really dizzy, think it’s all the meds and pain killers and I wasn’t eating much cz the vest is so tight! Def drink plenty of water it really does help as you feel really dehydrated after op. Must be normal to feel freezing cz I was totally the same! Brought the duvet down onto sofa to keep warm! Hope it helps knowing that you’re not the only one and it does get better. My results are amazing already, so worth all the pain xx

Hi thank you for your reply, I’m so glad I’m not the only one who felt this rough. I had no problem at all after my BA so I thought this would be a breeze but it’s been foul. How long was it before you stopped feeling sick/dizzy? I’ve stopped taking the cocodamol because I think they’re the main issue with me passing out xx

I had a BA years ago and it was so easy too! So I also thought I’d fly through this! However, ended up needing to take a week off work cz I was so sore and restricted in my vest! There were moments when I felt really emotional too!I’m allergic to cocodamol, so I was taking paracetamol and ibophropen, but I know a lot of people get sick with cocodamol. To be honest I felt crappy for the first 6 days, then started feeling a lot better. Think you feel really minging too, wearing the vest and garment all the time, like you’re not clean, which bothers me!!What area did u have? I had upper and lower abdomen and flanks xx

I had my arms done and was a lot of leakage on the first two days but did stop after that. Barely any leakage on my abdomen. It was a yellowy red from my arms on the dressing and dark browny red from my abdomen. If you’re worried, give the 24 hour line a buzz and they’ll advise you

I had my upper/lower abs, waistline & flanks. Yeah I think I may be allergic to it, only just found out most of my dad’s family are allergic to codeine. I haven’t took any tonight and feel a lot better.

I didnt have any leakage this time but when I had my legs done I have loads from my left leg. Had them done and on the way home stopped off at a service station and thought great, feel fine ill go in. Didnt realize while I was stood in the que that blood etc was pouring down my leg onto the floor! Total cringe moment but the husband thought it was highly amusing, Service station was sooo busy and everyone was looking, honestly you should have seen me trying to run out of there haha so didnt dare stop this time around. You have to be careful ad take your suit of slowly at first or it can cause you to faint (drop in blood pressure they said to me) xx

Yeah mine did at first, it didn’t last long. I think it’s anything not sucked in by the garment swells up initially x
