At least they care mate, I think its a good thing that they are checking you are ok. look at it as a possitive. Im sure you will get your op and you will love your boobies. Sometimes after you can feel down, so this is probably why

    Good luck

Hey hun its to do with how im feeling at the moment…

I have a bad dose of the post op blues!! I feel soo low its unreal! I have no reasoning for it as i love my boobs never been happier with my body!!

But postop blues are very common and if u have a history of depression they will have to try and protect u as the blues may start the depression off again.

My sis in law has major depression and she had her op. Im sure ul be fine xx

Ah, it should be leaving you soon tho. I am back at work next week – r u? That will get us back in the swing of things. I have been out in eve and its still hard – that was one week po but couldn’t drink, didn’t want to either which shocked me but our bodies will tell us when! Getting out and about will help, why don’t u get them together and tell them u really want to go out!! x

Do you know what this assessment consists of?

I had major depression last year, was sent to an eating disorder clinic and everything, what is the likelihood that I will have to have an assessment?

Sh*t, do they talk to your gp before the op? I took myself off of my anti depressants, and I haven’t been back to my doctor since… will this affect me having my operation?

Kayteelouu, you may be fine. Just be honest with them. I was on anti depressents last year too and I’m off them now. Alot of the girls on here have been. My PC just asked if my depression was related to body issues and it wasn’t. Think it depends on your circumstances and how you are now. x
