pre op!

So its my pre op tomorrow, eeek!! What happens there? xx

They will weigh you, measure your height and take your blood pressure. Then they’ll ask you questions about your medical history, explain what’ll happen on the day and how you should expect to feel post op. And take pre op photos xx

Yeah emma thats the one. Thanks Belle, oh no i have to get on the scales and have pics, scary times when its ladies week and im bloated! lol. All in a good cause haha xx

They give you massive list of things you can’t do from 2 weeks before op. No ibuprofen so hope I don’t get a migraine or i will be stuffed. Am putting list of things together that I need to get and stuff to do now after seeing the list!

Hello, I’ve been today and got leaflet….

Don’t apply false tan for 7 days prior to surgery

Don’t apply moisturiser 24hrs prior to operation

Don’t drink alcohol 48hrs prior to surgery (although my surgeon says 2 weeks)

Remove all false lashes, false nails, nail varnish, make up and piercings before admission to hospital

Shower either evening before or morning of op

Don’t apply deodorant

Tie up hair if long (bobble can’t have metal on it)

Wear loose fitting clothes that button up at front to change easily before and after op

Advise nurse before surgery if think pregnant

Don’t have any food/milky drinks or gum 6hrs prior to op

You may drink water up to 2 hrs prior to admission

No sun beds for a week before (surgeon said 2 weeks)

No smoking 48hrs before op (surgeon said 2 weeks)

Stop taking pill 2 weeks before surgery
