WHAT HAPPEN DOES SHE/HE TELL YOU WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN MEASURE BUST SIZE AGAIN?? SOME ADVICE WOULD BE NICE THANKS X

does she advice you on what to bring ?

i got given a pack with loads of info on what to bring, a couple of extra dressings etc so you shouoldnt be in any doubt of what you need when you leave.xx

do they measure your bust again also advise on sports bra?

the only person that measured me at any time was the surgeon. the nurse didnt measure me at the pre-op and she didnt measure me at my post op either. she did advise on bra…although not a great deal. she gave me a flyer for the macom bra and said about the discount. im sure if i had more questions she wouldve answered them but the appt was more of a form filling-in exercise than anything else!!x

how long does it ladt for is it essential to go ?

Yes it is essential. mine lasted about 20-30 mins. they take photos. You have to go as you have to be medically cleared – she ensures that there are no other further tests that they have to do. For instance, she said that i would have to have a blood test.xx

is that photos of your face or breast lol

boobies only lol. had to sign a form yesterday saying whether or not i minded them using them.x

yeah im 10days po. The post op appt with the nurse was probably the most pointless of the appts ive had so far – it lasted for 10 mins. all they did was take the bandages off and take some photos. They lost the mirror so i couldnt even see my scars before they put scar strips on!! x

Hiya dondon so you get a package at the pre-op of everything you will need?? I have got sports bras and creams for stretch marks etc but unsure what I will need to take and get for after lol. My op not til end of December though x x x

you get a sort of induction pack lol. it gives you pointers. they dont give you half as much info as you will get from people on here, but they do let you know the important stuff. the do’s and dont’s, what to take to you on the day of your op etc. you sound a lot more prepared than i was, although i think you find your way as you go along. i need a lot less than i thought i would if you know what i mean – i got so excited about the whole process that i just wanted to buy everything up lol. i bought like 10 magazines for the day of the op…but you might find like i did that you actually dont read anything at all, i was like a doughnut after my op…just laid there in a complete doze for hours and hours.x

They will also take swabs from you to test for MRSA if you work in healthcare. Think the Glasgow clinic is testing every1 tho x

Okies Hun, ye it’s the do and dont’s I want to know to lol cus there so many things lol like alcohol haha!! Ye am very pre pared lol bit of a geek really but there will be something I’ll forget x x

I had my pre-op today. I had MRSA swabs (Birmingham clinic) she took photos, did my height and weight, went through the medical questionnaire I filled out on my first appointment with my p/c, asked for my permission to write to my gp, did my blood pressure, showed me a macom bra and sports bras, asked me how long I’d take off college/work after my op and asked how I was going to get home after the op. Signed some consent forms as well xx

I was in for about 30 mins everything was fine, she takes bloods off some people depends on medical history but mines all ok, all my consultations have been 30 mins or under, just a shame I’ve got 30 days to wait! xx

You had your pre-op and you got 30 days till op??? When your op date?? Mine 21st December, I will book pre-op in november though I think. Hope they don’t take my blood lol not very good with the needle thing haha x x x x

Yeah my ops on 22nd November, I’ve asked for a late space though so that might be why they gave me a pre-op so early on xx

what you having i am having 340cc

I’m having 525 cc unders from a 32 a/b (Russo says A, Nurse says , are you having unders or overs? I’m hoping to look an E/F xx

Oright, you’ve not got long. Bet your excited now! I’m having 340cc unders with dr traynor and he says I’m only an a cup now, looking to be a d to dd cup. Hope I get this though because there a lot of pol who said they havnt got what they wanted x x x

make a list of all questions or worries you have and take it with you and go through everything before you leave. thats what i did and felt much better knowing i had all the answers i wanted/needed x
