Pre- Op

What happens at the Pre-op, i have mine on wednesday and i was wondering what i need to do or take? Also ive heard it involves blood test – i freaking hate them! Help girlies xx

hey hun, i had mine a few weeks back, i didn’t take anything with me. the nurse just basically explained what would happen on the day of my op, when i should get my admission time, things i should and shouldnt do before and after my op and then gave me 2 cotton bud like swabs, one 2 rub under my arm and one in my groin area to test for MRSA never had a blood test, think this is done if you have any other medical problems or history. the nurse also gave me the option of having before pics taken, (you dont have to, but i wanted to have before and after lol) i was only in there 10 mins! Ah thats brilliant hun thank you very much for the reply helps alot! hopefully i do not need the blood test!! And im glad you said it was only 10 minutes as im paying a driver to take me as ive rubbish with London areas lol. Thanks again Xx

thats ok, i had no idea what to expect either lol. i was in and out so fast which was good as i hate waiting around! is ur pre op within 6 weeks of your op? x

i had mine about 2 weeks ago and got my op may 1st!! sooo excited! what dates yours? i am super excited!! i keep going through stages where it hits me that its real and i’m really getting them done and then it goes back to seeming not real and i kinda forget about it for a few days lol, but now im down to 2 weeks literally to the day i am getting sooooooo excited, not nervous yet tho oddly?! x

Ah damn, well not damn for you, but i thought we could of been BB’s lol Im the 3rd of May @ Highgate! I know tell me about it hun, i get soo soo excited, then i think its not real, then i get nervous, very up and down! i just cant beleieve after all this time of wanting it im actually doing it woowoo Whos your surgeon hun?xx

aww i know up and down all the time feel like an emotional wreck lol! gonna be even worse after the op with all the drugs in me f*cking me up lol. im at Highgate too but “days before lol. im having Mr Chantasarak (dunno how he spells it lol). how long have you been wanting one for? i have for about 10years since i was like 15!! haha x

Oh god i know, i have a feeling when i wake up i’ll cry lol! Happy tears but i’ll just be emotional! I almost had it done at 18 but decided to give my body another chance to grow but ovbs it doesnt want to so im doing it now! Cant wait to feel like a real women haha xx

Have just this sec had mine at upper wimpole st, talked through questions like do I take the pill, drink smoke etc then weight height and blood pressure. Swabs of your armpits nose and groin for Mrsa, pics of your boobies and also signed a consent form for them to write to my doc to inform them of my surgery. No bloods takin prob because just a day case. Am so excited that the next step is just my ba xx
