pre-op

i know i’ve asked this before, but ive completly forgot what was said. i have my pre-op tomorrow and i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what exactly it is that happens at a pre-op? or roughly how long it will take if there isn’t a delay or anything?

had mine on wednesday and was wel nervous of the unknown…

So I saw the nurse she asked me questions like in the first consultation like do you smoke, drink etc etc.

She took my blood pressure and pulse. weight and height to work out my b.m.i., then m.r.s.a test (coz the hospitals they use dont have it so they make sure we dont have it before we go in and spread it about!) , its REALLY weird you have to rub one cotton swab round your nose, one round your armpits and one round your groin!! (bikini line!) SO ODD.

Then took some blood.

Then she took pics of all angles (i had boobs and nose taken as having both done in same op) and then she went through the pre and post op rules and told me 2 weeks before op that you have to stop tanning (fake and bed) and not to take anything apart from plain paracetamol and other rules and things like that! Then I signed a form to say YUP understood, and off i went!

June 16th! How about you? I was really nervous and had a nightmare as my pc sent me to the wrong clinic…i was so fuming when i got there as had to rush across london to get there in time the nurse kept telling me to calm down haha she thought my blood pressure reading was gong to be off the scale by the state of me when i arrived!! haha. Honestly nothing to worry about, hope im made to feel as at ease by the nurse on the actual day of the op like i was on wed! x

the 20th, its getting scareily close. just trying to stop myself from freaking out whenever i think about it. which surgeon are you having? xxx

Mr Falladhar. Lovely man! You? Just don’t think about it! It will all be fine!!! (telling myself that as much as you hahaha!!) I freaked out a bit today when i realised my countdown’s not in the 30s anymore and now its 29 sleeps to go!! eeep! x

mr traynor i think he was called. im just trying to think about literally everything else i possibly can. i bet time them 29 days are just going to fly by now and it wont be long until its the your op. xxx
