How many weeks before our op do we have to see the nurse ? My BA is 19th dec.
and what can I expect during thos appointment ? I hate needles so is there a possibility I might be asked to have a needle ? :/

you have to see the nurse at least 2 weeks before your op! she just goes through all your previous medical history and in some cases you may have to have a blood test, i had to have my bloods checked for sickle cell which i had to arrange through my GP. So you won’t have to have a needle there and then but may need one at some point before your op.
Don’t worry though just think of your new boobies, no pain no gain 🙂

Hi hun, my op is on the 21st December and my pre-op is in two weeks. They might not need to do the blood test so don’t worry just yet xx

Hi hun, my surgery is 2 weeks tomorrow and i had my pre op assessment last Thursday. It was absolutely fine, the nurse took my blood pressure, height and weight, also had tests for MRSA (sticking a cotton bud up your nostrils and under your armpits lol, lovely). I didnt need to have a blood test. I was worried about this too as I am also petrified of needles! Then she went through everything you need to do afterwards in terms of recovery, and also booked my 1 week post op check up, and answered the questions I had. She also gave me a code for 15% off a Macom bra if you were thinking of ordering one xxxxx
