pre-op question

Hey girlies! I was just wondering about the preop, ive been reading things on here about having blood taken and getting doctors notes back. So i was just wondering if they never mention anything about this to me at my pre-op is everything ok?xx

if they havent said anything you should be ok, i had bloods taken, but that was at (well ish, as they couldnt get bloods there so had to go to my own gp) my pre-op, because i had said i suffered from anaemia five years before when i was pregnant. its all just precautionary.

if your worried, call you clinic and they will advise more, but i think you should be ok xx

My nurse said I didn’t need bloods to be taken as I’ve always had pretty good health and said she would contact my GP to say I was having a BA done so I guess my GP will contact them if she feels something is a problem. I’m taking it as good that didn’t need notes or blood

Bloods are done if your having a nipple lift/uplift i was told. I also had MRSA swabs as i am a Midwife. I was weighed, filled all the forms went through all the details and then finally my pictures where taken. x

does not everybody have a pre-op bloods taken ?

thats the part I’m most scared of haha!

but thought they had to take bloods so they know what blood type you are etc so they have that blood at the op should you lose any….? completely clueless! 😳

I had my pre op today and I’m having a nip lift and implants they didn’t take blood and I said I didn’t want them to contact my gp. My surgeon said there was no need to take bloods. It’s down to surgeon x
