pre-op tests/check up @ MYA,London.

Hi every1. Cud any1 tell me what is it that they do with your consultation, just before you have your BA the next couple of days?

What tests, if any, height, weight, blood pressure checks etc….

do they do an MRSA test on you also? because i’ve seen it on a few forums… not sure if this is so….. cheers every1….

i had no blood pressure no blood test just pictures and height xxx

i had mine done at highgate. my nurse consultation was height, weight, blood pressure and photos and then they ask the questions about medical history etc.

hey hunny i had my pre op in leeds, she did all the paper work, basically just running through everything with you about medical hisory and past operations, medication your on, (such as the oral contraceptive pill, as you have to stop this) size your going too. Also will tell you her role to you and what she will be doing post op (dressings etc), she also does blood pressure, pictures, and gives you all your do’s and don’t for the night before and morning of your op…….. i had to have MRSA screening done as i am a student nurse, but if you have nothing to put you at risk of catching it then their is no need too.
