hey ladies im one of the unlucky ones i got capsular in both breast grade 1 in left grade 5 in right . and i have done some research on the internet . and found some ways to prevent this from happening taking vitamin e after surgery as it thins the blood can help refrain from smoking completely
and massaging and squeezing your breast after six wk on a daily basis can help the pockets from sealing x x hope this info helps you ladies from ending up in my position i am due my re op in just over two wk and extremely worried as im now at higher risk of this happening again x x
Hi Clarex,
So sorry your having to have re-op. CC is one of my biggest fears about going through with a ba! So thank you for the tips. Really hope ur re-op goes ok, best of luck xx
thanks hun so glad i opted for mya as some clinics don’t have aftercare and some do but don’t include capsular as its not their fault i would of had to pay for my redo .
Hi clarex,
Im sorry to that you have got to go through it again, i hope it all goes okay this time,
out of interest hun are you a smoker ?x
Yes i do smoke less than ten a day tho not a heavy smoker and i gave up around the time of my op for a few days . when they put the implants in they put them in a pocket of your body tissue and it stays open usually. when capsular contraction happens the pocket heals around the implant and makes it all tight and uncomfortable so the best way to prevent it is with massage and vitamin e which brings elasticity to your skin an flesh .it can also help prevent stretch marks x
Hey clarex,
who was ur surgeon if u dont mind me asking?I know this has no relevance to cc occuring but just wondered!xx
Mr traynor and before the capsular began my breast were fantastic his work is good promise girls he did kim marsh’s ba apparently x
Hi Clarex
Sorry to hear you’ve got CC hope all goes well with your redo. How did you know that you had it in the first place?
It started to ripple at the bottom of my breast then it gradually hardened so went straight to see the surgeon x
this as started worrying me now;-( im 12days port op and my boobs still seem hard, ? should i be massaging them ? is so anyone know how ? xx
dont you think you should ring the cinic and talk to a nurse, your worries may be unfounded, and you dont want to do anything unless you are sure.
she could put your mind at rest, or give you a check over. and most of all stop your worries !!!
xxx
Its normal for your breast to be hard at first mine softened about four wk post op then gradually got hard about four moths post op you really have nothing to worry about . i dint mean to worry anyone starting this discussion more make people aware of the risks as i thought i would be ok before my op an it come as shock
hi hun…i kno you wrote this a while ago but i think i’ve got capsular contracture & i’m really starting to panic about it. I am 17 months post op, had 300cc’d under the muscle by Mr Singh and now my breats are starting to feel really sore. They’re also quite sore on the top half of the breast like above the nipple but still soft and supple everywhere else. Does this sound like what u went through? how did mya help you and did you have to have them removed and replaced? thanks chick x
