Price for open rhinoplasty since May 2012?

Hi, Has anyone had a price for open rhinoplasty since 1st May 2012? I had a consulation with Mr Gonschior last year and was quoted £4800 for open. I couldnt proceed at that time as my daughter had open heart surgery. I called mya last month in May and booked my surgery date for August and paid my £500 deposit. A few days ago the reciept for my deposit arrived, it stated a total price £5650 having being given a £200 clinic discount. I called my personal consultant who advised me that prices had increased by £1000 and they could offer me a £500 discount, meaning i have to pay £5350. I am so disappointed as i feel that i should have been informed that the prices had increased before I booked my surgery date and after waiting so long, will probably have to cancel. Thank you

That is ridiculous, i got quoted £4800 aswell last april (since decided to get my boobs done first then nose after) but im telling u i will be going elsewhere if thats there current price. U can get it loads of other places for 4k, yes its all down to the perfect surgeon because its ur face etc etc but i deffo aint payin 2k over happy with the price of my ba because i got the old prices but woahhh thts steep xx

The price does seem a steep increase. My only issue is that its unfair to find out about the increase on my receipt and not being informed prior to booking my surgery date. I havent been anywhere else, as I knew I wanted Mr Gonschior as soon as i met him. Good luck with your surgery x

Wow thats not fair at all that they never mentioned that before you paid your 500 deposit hun make sure you cancel before your cooling period is over, that way you will get your deposit back!!!! sorry to hear its so steep love!!! xxx

Hun i know you feel set on Dr G but i also looked at surgeon called Lucion Ion, who was great aswell. Also with him you can see what your nose might look like before you go ahead. He uses 3D imagery. He takes photos of you and you tell him what you want done to your nose and he does it on his computer and shows you what your nose is going to look like after surgery. Obviously they cant be 100% but hes pretty confident that he will get your nose as close a what he shows you as possible.

Dr G is amazing but may be worth looking at other surgeons too if the price is too much for you because you may be just as happy with another surgeon and just having a consulatation isnt going to hurt.
