Girls, it seems everyone says something different about unders/overs.
I’ve heard girls say overs look more natural – as they achieve a better cleavage but Mr Kazzazi told me that unders are more natural.. is this because natural boobs aren’t suppost to be close together?! lol
Does anyone know the pros/cons to overs/unders and which LOOKS better as I was offered either & finding it hard to decide.
Are unders definitely more painful? do overs really sag quicker?!!?!
Pleas help thanksss
:DHi,
I had unders and my boobs are nearly 4 weeks old, healing well. I was in pain at first nothing bad. I say to my friends I wouldnt have a baby again (not the actual labour that was bad for me it was the feeling after) but I would have a boob job again!. My clevage is great, but I have never had cleavage in my life so I love it. My friends and family say they look natural like they always been there. I have heard you heal a lot faster after overs but I have heard unders are the better option, i.e the muscle massages the implant so it helps prevent caspular contraction. I am just getting my full range of movement back. I.E closing the boot, picking my daughter up…. I dont know if overs sag, but all boobs sag in the long run, if you have implants or not. I would go with what the surgeon advises. good luck hun x x x
Unders are thought to be more natural because the muscle gives a natural slope on top and hides the outline of the implant x
I know about unders as that’s what I have been advised by Dr K (I want natural).
As the girls said above, unders are for the more natural option, plus they do this too if you don’t have much breast tissue to start with.
Pros:
They do not affect breast screening, you can still breastfeed, less change of nipples becoming numb, they hold up longer!
Cons:
Painfull, much more downtime as they cut through muscle, you can move them like men move their pecs (good party trick maybe?)
There’s some good website if you search google, a lady on here posted one some time ago but can’t find it!!

Hi Tracy do overs affect breast screening?? And can you still breastfeed with overs?? x
Apparently overs are more likely to interfere with breast screening.
I’ve also heard overs MAY produce a greater risk of breastfeeding problems because they are more likely to injure nerves and ducts than under the muscle implants. However there are lots of women who have no problem at all.
I found this, hope it’s useful!
Above The Muscle Breast Implants(Sub-glandular)
Highest risk for capsule contracture
More likely to interfere with a mammogram
Highest risk of rippling, especially when the implant is textured
Most likely to “bottom out” which is when the breast implants falls below the breast tissue level, resulting in a bulge in the wrong place and making any scars under the breast visible.
Under the Muscle Breast Implants(Sub-muscular)
Less risk for capsule contracture
Least chance of rippling
Less likely to “bottom out”
Less likely to interfere with mammograms
For the most part we can say the under the muscle placement breast implants give the best results. However there are DISADVANTAGES too:
Longer recovery time with more post-op discomfort
Harder to do so not as many cosmetic surgeons do it
Since the pec muscles don’t need to sag the breast implants sit higher on the chest. If you have natural breast sagging there could be some seperation of contour with the implant and natural breast tissue. The way to fix this though is with a breast lift.
If you work out with weights some say the muscles basically squeezes the implants which creates an unnatural shape.
I had overs as i wanted the cleavage and fullness at the top of the breast, i also do alot of body pump and toning in the gym so unders may have caused me probs later down the line once i started doing work on my arms again. Everyone is different and the surgeon should be able to explain everything to you xx
Hi Blondie, How are you feeling after your op? Can I ask did you get unders or overs? And did you get an uplift aswell? I am going for my consultation this week. I am trying to decide whether to get it done or not, and if I do how painful was it to get it done….also whether to go for round of teardrop shaped one’s. x
Sorry I read your last post after I posted mine…sorry blondie
It’s ok florence, feel free to add me. I had a uplift and 325 inspira responsive medium profile overs, took me from an empty/saggy D to a full god knows what, probably E/F. I had lollipop incisions, so that’s just around the nipple and a vertical line down but no anchors under the boobs like the traditional BA. The first couple of days were fine , days 3-7 were my hardest but it is all manageable with pain relief, i’m on 11 days post op now and feeling really good, still on tramadol and anti inflams but feel like its all getting back to normal now. Still cant stretch over my head, lift anything or do much but i’m back at work on Thurs. any questions, just let me know xxxx
It all depends on your breast tissue, what size you want as well/ I was certain I would be going for unders as i wanted a natural shape, however becauise i had a good amount of breast tissue and only wanted to go up 2 cup sizes I was advised to have overs which would still achieve a natural shape x
I have asked for a natural look but at both consultations I have only been offered overs I’m a 34b, when I asked Dr Trayner if I would still get the natural look he said yes!!!
I was the same, I told Mr Traynor I wanted them to look natural and he offered me overs, I just assumed i’d need unders but because I have enough breast tissue I didn’t need them. Also Mr T only does the natural look, he doesn’t do fake!
I trust him 100% and all the girls on here that have had him only say the best of things about him!
You can still achieve the natural look with overs, a lot of time unders is for people with little or no breast tissue, at least thats what I was told in my consultation
Hi I was 34b I’ve just had 435 unders 5 days ago, still uncomfotable but not too bad, the painkillers really help and my boobs look fantastic really natural, I have a cleavage and I’m a full 34DD/32E x I would say go for unders x
Hi Girls, thanks for all the advice you have given me, but I was reading that overs gives a few problems like you cant breast feed etc and I am only married a month so if I was to have a baby I would like the option to breast feed or not. Do you have a choice as to have overs or unders?
x
