    Hi ladies,

I had a BA about 18 months ago and I found this forum to be a lifesaver as it was so helpful and the girls were fabulous.

However, a friend of mine put my name into Google the other day and has since told me that in the search for my name, all my MYA posts came up in the search.

I’m letting people know as although I’ve been very open about my procedure and don’t mind others knowing about it, some of you may not want it to be public knowledge. I’m not sure how MYA keep this site confidential, but I think it would be good to know this can happen.

I’ve deleted my avatar and changed my name so I’m hoping that will help. If not, I’ll delete my profile but I’m not sure that will get rid of previous posts.

    Anyway, just thought I’d share.

Good luck to all the lovely ladies on here : )

    Hi Elliem,

We would recommend if you wish to remain anonymous to use a fake name and profile photo. Only your name, posts and profile photo are publicly viewable through Google; your private photos are completely safe. As you know, you don’t need an account to view posts so everything that is available to the public is searchable in Google. We acknowledge that this is an ongoing issue so it’s something that has been flagged up for when the new MYA Space comes to all our users in a few months! We appreciate your comments and they have been taken on board. Love MYA x

    Thank you for your response.

However, can I please ask why you have removed my comment from the Forum? It’s only that I was not aware of any of this when I joined the Forum, so it’s likely that other girls don’t either and therefore learn too late that you recommend fake name and photo.

I think it would be responsible of MYA to advertise this information publicly on the Forum front page.

    Thanks
    Ellie
