Puss on right incision… ?!?! :(

Hello girls,

So I had my BA last monday 30th April and had my dressings changed on the friday so 4 days later. The nurse wanted to see me earlier than later because of the bank holiday.

When she saw me everything was fine so she put the little plasters on but on saturday I noticed a bit of blood. And then on the monday there was more blood and what looked like weeping..

So I went to see the nurse yesterday and she said there was a bit of puss there but that it didn’t seem infected and that she wasn’t too worried. She put an antiseptic dressing on and she wants to see me again this friday. She said the chances of it being an infection are very small considering Id finished the antibiotics to prevent infections on monday and that my breast wasn’t swollen, no redness or warmth.

Has this ever hapenned to any of you ? And if so did it turn out okay?

I know she said she’s not worried but I’ve always thought that the fact that there was puss there means that there is an infection but apparently not.

So worried .

I had a bit of pus at the end of my stitches I started to worry then (this sounds gross but might put your mind at rest!) it turned out to be a spot!! It literally burst the next day when my bra rubbed on it so try not to worry.
