Hi girls.
Planning on going to ibiza 4 weeks post op. Will I have bad bruising?? I’m worried they’ll look really bad in swimming costumes!
Hi @Lauren I’m 11 days PO and I had no bruising but a lot of swelling – which can be a little bit uncomfortable- tbh the first week you feel pretty rubbish and then it gets better, everyone’s different some girls don’t experience pain or burising. I’d just be careful with the wound and to keep in covered in the sun xx
Ahh thank you hun that’s made me feel better. I’m worried about people bumping in to me and stuff! Will keep them well out of the sun and covered. Really rubbish timing but ah well x
im 12 days PO and im feeling a lot better now – I still have dull pains and do bump into things 🙁 just be carful and remember you will need some good support for your boobs so you will need to carry a sports bra with you on holiday! xx
Hello,
My swelling and bruising had gone by 4 weeks PO but its worth remembering that you wont beable to go in the pool/sea at 4 weeks PO and you’ll have to keep your incision out of the sun xx Very jealous!
Oh yeah I didn’t even think about the pool. That’s a shame 🙁 think you girls! Xx
Thank you ***
I had quite bad bruising and I’m just over 3 weeks post op and all of my bruising has now gone xx
Id try arnica to prevent/ get rid of any bruising! I got the small tablets from boots and Ive got barely any bruising only around my incisions and where my drains were and its just yellow/greenish. I usually bruise so easily as I’m anaemic so was so shocked when i saw how little bruising I had so think it was the arnica!
Ah thanks girls you’ve reassured me! I’ll definately get arnica! Do.you take it before and after or juse after? Xx
@lauren221 I started taking mine the day before my op then for 5 or 6 days it tells you how long you can take or for on the bottle, I heard you can start it from 2 days before surgery though. I just remembered to take mine every 4 hours with my painkillers post op xxx
Thanks hun! I’ll go get some tomorrow! ☺☺xxx
