    hey girlies,

im not a great lover of takin tablets, infact mentally i turn into a lil kid an cant swallow the damn things. at one point ive even tried crushin them into icecream, baaad idea! i can just about swallow my contraceptive pill, if im not thinkin about it. stupid, i know.

i was wondering if the pain after havin a BA is that horrendous that you cant get away with not taking them?

i think its the little things im gona have to over come lol

Hello I used to be like this and my mum told me away and now it fine.

Take them when your eating something. When u have chewed your mouthful all up and your about to swallow it put the tablet in and swallow it then. Maybe try it with your contraceptive pill c how u get on. Or sometimes I’ve done it with warm water lots better than cold water. Hope it helps :) xx

Can you not get the tablets in another form? There’s no way I’ll be able to swallow them. I’ll ask what they give us and get a prescription from my gp x

im exactly like u hunni, i bought calpol fastmelts (theyre paracetamol) and they just dissolve in ur mouth, they taste gross but they work and i also took nurofen meltlets. when i was a kid i almost choked to death on a hard jelly sweet an it lodged itself in my throat n i stopped breathing so even if i try my hardest now i cannot swallow any tablets at all so the caplol fastmelts and nurofen meltlets were an absolute godsend, u can get them in boots hun. :) xx

p.s — i know calpol is usually only for kids but these ones are called calpol fastmelts six plus, an give a dosage for adults to take aswell, u will find them in the kids meds section in the chemist xx

Everyone is different Eloise and pain theshold from one person to another varies drastically. Some have to take he full whack, I took for days one and two and some dont have to take at all. Your body will tell you what you need to do. I think it depends what surgeon you have as to whether you get antibiotics as I didn’t get any!

    Good luck hun X
