Question for MONTHS/YEARS post-op girls

Is there much point in buying new bras after 6 weeks? Or should you wait a couple of months? I dont wanna go and spend LOADS of money on bras that might not fit me a couple of months later…..

Hi Rebecca, i would wait a few months before you buy new bra’s.. i’m just over 4yrs post op and i remember going mad after 6 weeks i was wearing a 32e or f but once they settled i ended up a 32dd. I have still kept me 32 e’s & f’s because i knew straight away that as soon as i had the money saved i would be having another BA to go bigger.. Have a consultation tomorrow!!

my suggestion Just buy maybe 1 or 2 bra’s after 6 weeks because your boobs will change over the coming months, mine still do and i’m over 4yrs post op now. xx

Hi Bexie, there are a couple of girls on sofem with albums up to 9 months and a year and it gives you a really good idea of how they change and settle and also the timescales.

From what i saw they start to drop properly at about 4 weeks and get softer and more natural from then on, by 6 months they were soft and the year photos you would never know they weren’t hers!

I bought 2 after 8 weeks and then i bought the rest over time…..my boobs look like they’ve changed in pics but my size has stayed the same x

I bought 4 bras at 8 weeks in 36DD but by the time I was 6 months i was buying 34E

Now 17 months post op, and still in 34E but I can wear the 36DD if i put them on the tightest hooks x
