    Hey girls!
I’m 6 days post op and I’m usually an active person and I like to watch my junk food intake (not heavily, I just watch to make sure I don’t scoff too much in one day etc) but the past few days I’ve been so bored, and so I’m binge eating like mad!

It also doesn’t help when I see my massive post surgery belly which leads me to think: ‘what’s the point in watching my weight?!’

So, what I’m hoping to find out is how is your diet after your op? Are you eating healthily? Are you bored at home whilst recovering?

Ive not had surgery yet (booked 29th this month !) But I know boredom and sitting
around is the worst and always makes me nibble on rubbish. Im sure the better you feel and more active you become the healthy diet will be easier again

I am 5 months post op now! I ate as much as I wanted to! But did try to eat a bowl of veg every day just to make sure something healthy was in my body as that helps the healing process as well!! It doesn’t help that you can’t move but just try eat something healthy every so often and drink lots of water x

I was planning on being a health queen post op & what a lie that was!

The pain meds and antibiotics made me quite nauseous so I could only stomach beige foods like chicken nuggets, chips, toast etc.

After that passed I ate whatever I wanted as a I felt sorry for myself ?.
Try and eat healthy & if you do sneak in a few chocolates or crisps dont feel bad.

Recovery is so mentally draining with not being able to move properly and the discomfort, you dont wanna feel even more restricted on a diet or not enjoying this time to binge ?

    Hi ladies,

I had my BA done yesterday, had 325cc HP overs in London. I was feeling fine after the surgery but then it really did hit me in the evening with nausea. Any advice on that as I’m scared I’ll actually start throwing up. Also have you had terrible back pains after being in bed all day, couldn’t sleep at all – any tricks for that?
    Thanks. 🙂

@ali84 i had really bad nausea, the general anaesthetic after surgery made me throw up a lot.
I then threw up at home a couple times after surgery on days 2 and 3 and felt very sick until about day 4 when i stopped taking the pain medication (which i believe was the cause). I also got some actimel probiotic drinks as the antibiotics get rid of all the good bacteria in your stomach and can make you feel ill x

Thanks, Shannon. I’m now day 5 po and feeling much better. No nausea but still need painkillers. Can’t wait to get back to normal. 🙂

I’m currently 10 po and sat looking at what seems like my 7 months pregnant belly ?? before the op I was doing so well but I find myself with nothing better to do than eat and watch Netflix…. I’m so bored and I can’t find the motivation to stop especially in an evening. I’m back to work Tuesday so I think the folling Monday (has to be a Monday lol) I will get bk to cutting out carbs for a couple of weeks to claw back to my pre op weight ??
