How long do you have to wear a Malcom after surgery?
When do they advise to take strapping off?
When can you actually have a proper wash and shower?
Why do you wear a Malcom?
When are u able to not to wear any bra/Malcom?

I think it’s 6 weeks that you have to wear your post surgery bra. I had my op yersterday and I have got to have strapping on until my post op appointment next Friday, and then change into my sports bra which I think I have to wear for 6 weeks, my surgeon doesn’t like Macom bras so I just have a post operative m&s high impact sports bra. You will find out when your allowed to stop wearing your sports/Macom bras at one of your post op meetings, your nurse will tell you when you can stop wearing them xx

i was advised to wear my strap around the top of my boobs and my M&S high impact sports bra 24/7 for 6 weeks but i continued wearing the sports bra at night for a good 5 months afterwards because i was still very sore, i had 300cc unders and the recovery was so painful but worth it! i was allowed a shower for 2 weeks afterwards as i had to leave my stitches in and dressings on for 2 weeks! sponge washing was fine I just struggled washing my hair over the bath lol im 10 months PO now and the results were worth the pain! ???? xx
