Re-assurance needed please …

I am goin to have my first proper shower later since my op and im scared lol i have steri strips on my scars and nurse said if there soaked in waem water they will come off easily…im SO scared to take them off…is this normal and does it really hurt? Or is it all in our heads lol also scared just to get them wet in the first place….lol! Help xx

it doesn’t hurt at all well didn’t me anyway just let water run over you’re boobs not too hot and gently peel them away x im still para about getting mine wet now lol – i use sanex zero just let bubbles run down boobs and then water and then i get a jug with abit of hibiscrub in and water and pour over my boobs few times – now im all exposed proper para about infection – my hands are soo dry from all the hand sanitiser im using lol!! I’ve also bought sterile swabs from boots to pat dry scars as was told not to towel dry any where near there and not to use hair dryer either (although some girls have been fine doing that) xxx

I think thats wat im most worried about, not the pain bit them bein exposed lol want them to b covered til they heal but no i cant just leave the strips on! Ive bought baby wash to use above incisions so it can run down bit still scared! Oh god, i wasnt told anythin about dryin them so thought hair dryer was ok as girls on here have said thats wat they do so thank god i posted! Im poppin up road anyway so will c wat i can get in chemist to dry them with…thanks for replyin xx

My nurse said to me they use to advise it but they have done more research and apparantley can spread more germs im sure it would be fine im prob just over cautious and im doing as im told xx hehe xx
