really annoyed with mya

So I have a phone call yesterday to pay final balance,I mention it appears my friend referral dicount hasn’t been taken off!!so they say they will chase it up and call me today.I also mention my date was delayed by a day and pc assured me as a it was an inconvience I would receive a further £100 off which I was happy with as I had already made child care arrangements ect which would now have to be moved. So I get a call today to say they haven’t been able to confirm with my pc about friend ref. And I should have mentioned it during my consultation.I assured them it was mentioned at 1st and 2nd consultation.and surprise surprise they can’t confirm further money off for change of date!! As my balance is due today I would have to pay and sort it out with pc myself and be reinbursed!! Not happy as I was assured I would receive £250 off.I know it isn’t an awful lot but I’m paying 6k for op!! Added stress is not needed let’s hope its resolved soon x

Did you not get a receipt after you paid your deposit? I did and mine states on it the £250 off and the balance owed. xx

tell them your not going to have it done and go elsewhere, they’ll soo change their minds then hun xx

This is disgusting…hopefully MYA Mod should pick this up…Since I had my BA the way some girls have been let down by MYA is shocking….Tbh, MYA have gone down in my estimations big time recently – i for one won’t be recommending them to any of my friends, i’v actually advised one of my friends to go to MyBreast….Steph i really hope you sort this out hun, stand your ground and make sure MYA give you what they promised…as for the friend referal there are loads of girls on here that have used the £150 discount AFTER their consultation…i know of at least one that paid her balance in FULL and got refunded £150 because she asked to use the friend referal…it was on a post on here…i’ll see if i can find it xxx

Yeah did you not get a receipt? When I paid my deposit, the remaining balance was wrong so I called them and sorted it straight away x

Natalie got a refund a few days before her surgery by using the referral discount x

Was that who it was belle? I know i remember somebody getting it after they had paid their balance xx

i GOT my friend ref after my FIRST consultation!! but i think its all down to ur PC. mine has been great

Thanks for the replies lady,they sent me a receipt in the post but it didn’t have an outstanding balance just said to be paid 20 days before surgery date!!I have prices written down by pc with cost and at bottom it says minus 150 friend referral.I know 2 other ladies on here who have same date as me that was moved to can’t remember their names god damn it my brain is like a sieve.will put a post up and hopefully they reply see if they have had same trouble!!xxx

So they called back and said I would have to pay full amount otherwise my date would be made available to someone else,so I said I would pay what I thought was owed but they wouldn’t allow,had to be paid in full so I said after being left in an impossible situation I would not be willing to pay as simple details hadn’t been passed on before my op,what will my after care be like??as soon a I put the phone down there were lots of tears and what felt like longest 5 mins of my life I get a call back saying we will take what you thought was the outstanding balance and confirm discounts with your pc monday!!!but if I pay and she doesn’t confirm if I wish to cancel will only receive half of full amount paid!!! My god why put this stress on me now.makes me concerned for my after care,let’s hope post op is more successful.sorry for the rant,I’m just a tad emotional thinking I may not get my new boobs xxx

Hope the issue gets sorted for you properly soon hun, I know its easy to say but try to not let it stress you out, keep calm and think with a clear head this is a big deal for you and you don’t want to make a rash decision xx

Just shocking….all they want is your money and then they don’t give a rats ass….try not to get upset hun, i’m sure your pc will confirm your discount…if she doesn’t then you need to complain – there are countless people on here who have had discounts AFTER their initial consultation…keep your chin up hun xxx

Thanks quintanna and right said fred lol.it seems that way doesn’t it.I will pay the extra 250 but its just beyond belief how they can fail to pass on this sort of info!!also they could look at my file to see my date was moved and they were compensating for this,hmm I wouldn’t of even asked but as it was promised its only fair they oblige.do u mind if I add u,I see u had uplift and implants,I’m having the same 19 more sleeps : ) atleast I know no one else can nick my date lol that’s my bloody date and its not up for sharing xxx

When they asked me to pay my balance only couple of weeks before they said it was around £3,000. I had only paid £100!!! I was having a uplift and BA at total cost of £5,900. I said “are you sure?”. They said yes. Being the honest person I am I told them that they gad better look into it and told them I had only so far paid 100. Next day they phoned for the full amount saying it was a head office mistake.

Trust me to be honest -I’d have saved a fortune – either that or just one boob done! MYA have been very disorganised and to be honest I would not recommend them.

Saying that my nurse Kate and surgeon Mr C have been fantastic

I know some of the surgeons work for other companies eg mr c works for transform too. However I think all these companies are pretty much the same. My friend said BUPA were brilliant and she could have her surgery in Bristol instead of going to London but think that they were much more expensive

i told you they’d do that hun!!! they cant exactly turn down all the money your paying over £150! tell them you wont have it done and you win everytime- i know i few thats happened to x

Just annoyed that I offered to pay the 5250 while they sort it out with my pc but they declined.was hardest thing ever saying I’ll go else where but like u said they wouldn’t turn money down as no less than 5 mins after the bloke phoned back saying yes we’ll take your money ect ect.he said I should contact pc but I pointed out what hope did I have when she is their emploee and they can’t even get a hold of her!!!xx

There seems to be many faults with the admin/non clinical side of Mya but I’m trying not to let it put me off as I know the surgeons are excellent and that’s the most important thing- hope it all gets sorted for you smoothly xxx
