really do not what to do about my pill?!?!?!?

So girls sorry i know its not the greatest convo to have but…ive just come of my period and due to go back on my pill today, my ops next week. Baring in mind i dont just take it for controceptive reasons, im not sure whether to go back on or not?? i cant really take a a break and wait for my period agian and then go back on because its to long of a break really! but, being on meds after will cancel the pill anyway wont it? im so confused! my surgeon said she doesnt care if im on it or not, even though mya say not to….any advice???? xx

Your supposed to stop taking it as it thins your blood out, and that can cause all sorts of risks in surgery, or after.

If it was me I’d stop the pill and deal with the crap it throws your way, because having new boobs will be worth it and the risks just aren’t xx

very true joanna! only problem is if i dont take it and have a long break my condition gets worse and i get real bad pain…so this is my concern defiantely get what your saying though i just dont want the pain of the op and the pain of my condition at the same time thats my worry …i suppose i can grin and bare it?! ah xx

No one told me to stop the pill at my pre op! Hmm. They only told me not to take vitamins.

some surgeons dont mind if you take it, my friend went with transform and wasnt told to stop taking it! if your surgeon says its ok to take then personally i would go with your surgeons advice! i wish i could carry on taking mine, dont want new boobs and a baby on the way haha xx

Eeek marion told me to stop taking the pill and so did my nurse, Its meant to be stopped 2 weeks before the op, I hate not taking it peace of mind out the window xxx

I had my pre op yesterday with transform and the nurse said i didn’t need to stop taking the pill, but I don’t know if it’s different for each individual. She did say not to take any vitamins though

Hiya hun, it depends on what pill u are on. Im on Dianette and its known to massively increase the risk of DVT (can cause very serious blood clots, eg. Pulmonary embolisms) so I stopped taking it so Ill be off it for 5 weeks before my surgery coz thats what it advises and so did my GP. I would stop whatever u are on just to avoid any type of complication, its really not worth it hun. Good luck xxxxxx

I am a few months b4 ,y pop and I have stop taking it I ain’t with my bf no more so I just thought mite as well come off and give my body a rest and i will be clear from it wen I have my ba xxx

I’m on Yasmin so if anyone’s on this can you tell me what you was advised just for more assurance!! Omg I have 5 days so excited! Fingers crossed! Xx

I was on yasmin & I stopped mine but it didn’t really bother me as I’m single, my spots just got worse ha. If your surgeon says it doesn’t matter then I’d just carry on taking it hun, especially if it’s going to cause you unnecessary pain xxx

That’s also true! Omg seriously don’t know what to do lol. Did you surgeon mind if you was on it or not hun?? I think I’m going to call my pc and double check, maybe even call my doctor! I won’t be able to until Monday though and I’d still be late taking it but!! Xx
