Hi girls I’m 9 days post op and for the last three mornings when I wake up I have searing sharp pain in my left incision! I literally can’t do anything until it begins to subside it’s really horrible and can last for a couple of hours!I had my week check up with the nurse yesterday and she said my scars are healing well no sign of infection so I have no idea what this could be! My right boob is fine! I seriously can’t explain how bad the pain is, I can’t lift my arm, bend down or basically make any movements. It’s only been three days but Im rubbish with pain and can’t take much more! Has anybody else had this??
xxxxx
Lots of members have experienced different pains honey, the nurse has checked you out so you can relax that there is no infection, its all part of the healing process our body reacts in different ways to surgery,I know from posts ive read on here it does get better, keep an eye on it,and if it gets worse ring the nurse again and tell her its getting worse, thats what they are there for,big hugs hope it eases soon, xxx
Hi, I have exactly the same, I’m 2 days post op and have had the pain in my left incision since I came back from theatre. For a little while the pain was shooting right across the lower half of my boob but now its just along the crease of my boob. The right side is fine and only a little uncomfortable, any movement causes pain although it has subsided a bit this morning. Throughout the day it gets worse and the whole boob can get sensitive, my pc said it is normal to have one in more pain than the other but speak to the nurse if I’m worried, but so far I think it’s ok as it’s still early days.
Thanks girls I hope u feel better soon princess76! It even hurts when I breathe in (very dramatic I know). I Only really thought about getting my boobs, not the healing pain after xxx
They are two separate operations lovelies, they will heal at different stages and the nerves will also repair them selves at different stages,it does get better, and the end results will be worth it,you wont think that whilst your in pain, but when the pain subsides, you will be happy.xxx
The nurse said it could be something to do with the nerves but I read this forum quite alot and the majority of girls seem to just get discomfort as opposed to pain! My right boob is uncomfortable and it feels how I thought it would after the operation, tight and swollen but there is no “pain” the left is a completely different story! I know it will be worth it in the end and I love my boobs already, thanks Tina you really are a lovely lady! Xx
moonie1980,we are all here to help each other honey, thank you for your kind words.xxx
I find it painful to breathe too, especially at night, but am on my painkillers, I expect yours have run out now so that’s prob not helping. Although mine has gone down from what it was I am still taking all the medication I can, so I don’t know what it would be like without tablets! I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about, I guess we are just a bit more unlucky than others have been, but that’s my luck anyway!
In a couple of weeks youll be here reassuring others it gets better, all you will be able to focus on is that 6 weeks date, getting measured and bra shopping, lol, time does pass quickly, sometimes even a day can make a massive difference, hang in there lovelies, xxx
I had my medical yesterday and recall the nurse saying you might have more pain in one boob than the other and that after 4-5 days it will get easier. Just try to rest as much as you can and keep taking the pain killers im sure it will go off soon. Did you have overs or unders? im having overs in a few weeks so let me know how you get on xx
Hun, I didnt get ‘discomfort’ after my op…it was bloody painful!! no other word for it. I had bad morning pain every time I sat up until about 2 weeks..just get up as slowly as possible, dont sit bolt upright too quickly.xx
I had 340 overs! Kezza sorry to hear you had pain also!it sounds like what I have! I dread going to bed because I know when I wake up I’m going to be in agony! The thing is I went back to work six days after my BA and I’m kicking myself now for doing too much too soon! I’m literally going to do nothing this weekend at all!! Xxxx
The nurse called me a little while ago and I explained about the pain I had and she didn’t seem at all concerned, she said she’d see me at my post op appointment next week and keep up with the pain killers
That’s great news! I had no pain a such until 6 days po! Then it got me in the left boob with avengence! I walked into boots this morning and begged for the strongest painkillers they could possibly give me!! Xxx
