Really worried about getting stretchmarks :( xx

Hey girls, I’ve been usisng bio-oil on my boobs pre-op and will continue to use it post-op but I’m really worried about getting stretchmarks xx

So was I hun cos the swelling even caused the skin in between my boobs to pull. I’m 7 days post op today, swelling has come down alot and now I rub palmers cocoa stretch mark cream in. It’s more ro do with ur diet ans genes than anything but it can only help. Try getting plenty of zinc in ur diet, this is meant to help with skin elasticity xx

I was told by my nurse no cream of any description round the area. Were you 2 told it was ok? Confused! x

Kellymc80, Stretch marks,I would think that the surgeon takes this in to consideration when he recommends the implant size,however that is just a guess,and my opinion, no one actually knows how the skin will react to stretching,some people may get stretch marks some wont,I think even if your skin is prone to stretch marks on another part of your body,you could get them,but this dosent always mean you will get them on your breast,I had very fine stretch marks on my legs,from pregnancy, so I prepared myself for them on my breasts but i didnt get them,just follow your nurses instructions re the creams honey,you could ask her at your next visit when you can apply moisturiser if you avoid the scars.We are individuals so post op instructions will vary from patient to patient.xxx

Kelly, I only put the cream on the top and sides. No where near my scars but they are covered up with new mepore dressIngs I brought from the chemist. My other ones came away from the skin when the tape came off. Replaced immediately to stop any infection. I see the nurse 2moro so I’ll see what she says x
