hi girls! i’ll be 5 weeks post op on tuesday, and i’m booked in to have a back neck and shoulder where i work as a therapist for training purposes. i will have to lie on my front and i’m a bit worried about hurting/damaging the implants. i can lie on my front but it isn’t exactly comfortable, and i wouldn’t be able to sleep like it. i’m just worried if someone is then applying deep pressure to my upper back, this is going to push my chest into the couch. what is everyones opinions on having this done? i don’t know whether i should risk it or not? would it really do any damage or just make them a bit sore?!

Hey hun.. When I have my massages I get head and shoulders, and I sit on a chair which is only cradling my chest, and I face the back of the chair if you know what I mean? Is it a necessity to lie down for it or could you use a chair like my masseuse uses? xx

Thanks for replying! That seems like a good idea but i have to lie on front, no escaping it! It’s because it’s for training etc and theres no one else to do it. Just gonna have to see how it goes and tell them to lay off the pressure!

I’d be very careful hun I had a back massage at a spa day on Sunday and I am still pre op but he amount of pressure she was putting on all I kept thinking about was will I ever be able to have this again after my BA?! As long as they know and are aware to be more gentle you may be okay? Xx
