Recovery essentials

Hi girls, was just wondering what everyone has/had for their recovery?? I have a v shaped pillow? Are there any other essentials I should get or need??

lots to drink and eat after your op and some super comfy trackies and a zip up hoody! i lived in my trackies after my op and only just started wearing my jeans again. also magazines, books, iPad and plenty to watch on tv when you get home because bed will be the place you’ll be spending a lot of the time xx

A travel neck pillow! Mine got me through my first week! Baby wipes to freshen up and I booked a blow dry which made me feel great as there was no way I could have washed my own hair. xx

V neck pillow/V pillows and lots of comfy pillows to pile your bed with! Lots of painkillers, fizzy juice (for straight after) and if you’re like me you’ll be dyyyyyyying for food (specifically a mcdonalds lol!)

My hairdresser is amazing and also washed my hair for me every few days that i needed it, but now 15 days PO i can wash my hair with no pain etc. 🙂 XXX

Defiantly baby wipes or even a flannel so you can easily manage a wash I’m 3 days post op and I’ve just managed to get myself in a shallow bath & to avoid my insicions & the plasters over them, the flannel was a god send! Cos you don’t wanna be getting them wet. Few snacks aswell specially at home I’ve lived in my bed since ? And all I’ve done is watched tele, eat and slept most the time also the v pillow is good to have its really helped me with having to sleep upright!! But I’d recommend a few pillows aswell! And lots of fluids!!!! Magazines books iPad phone charger and some comfy trackys also buttoned up tshirts are ideal instead of having to put a top On over your head can sometimes hurt with lifting your arms xx
