Hi girls, I’m 11 days post op now. I had 375/400cc partials. I’m just wondering, when does it feel normal and not hurt to put pressure on your arms when getting out of bed etc?

And also to lift arms right above your head without feeling uncomfortable. Is this normal?

    Thanks xxxxx

I’m only 6 days post op but I’m struggling so much to get out of bed! Constantly awake in the night too! I have to try and tilt myself to one side and use my arms to push off my bed side table! It’s so difficult! Literally no muscle left in the chest because I went under xxx

This is completely normal. My surgeon advised me to not lift my arms above my head until after 2 weeks. I am day 9 and feel almost back to normal (with unders). It still hurts a bit getting in and out of bed and simple things like putting a coat on and doing my hair. I think every day just gets better. Aim for that 2 week milestone is my advice but be prepared to continue to take it easy for up to 6 weeks. When getting out of bed, grab your knees and rock forward rather than put pressure on arms. I hope that helps. Xx

Also to ease the pain, make sure you continue to take pain relief. Paracetamol amid ibuprofen can be take together every 4-6 hours. Xx

Thanks girls! I feel completely normal of a day, it’s just mostly of a morning I feel like I have bowling balls on my chest!! And when getting dressed etc it’s uncomfortable. I’m looking forward to be recovered!! I love them though I would easily do it all again ?
