    Hi girls,

I have 8 days to go until my operation… I am only able to have 7 days off work & then I’m back in, I’m a dental nurse so have a pretty hands on job, I have a very good pain threshold and I will be taking it easy when I come back to work.

I’m just wondering what the general recovery time is?

Also is anyone else booked in with Mr Traynor on the 6th of March?

    Thank you xxx

The first 3 days after your op are the worst. I was out the house by day 4 and only felt the pressure on my chest. You’ll be back to doing most stuff by the end of the week. Just be careful not to lift heavy things or do any hoovering for a while, Iv been getting my partner to do those things. your body will tell you if you’re doing to much. I had mine done on the 13th of feb with mr Traynor. Xx

Everyone is completely different when it comes to recovery time, some girls are up and out after a few days whereas I was still really struggling after a week. I took 3 weeks off work and even now I’m back only part time. Just listen to your body and be sure you don’t do anything you feel you can’t do, take it as easy as possible xx

Thanks girls, I’m not 3 days post op, I’m feeling really well, pain is quite bad in the mornings but I’m assuming that’s because I’ve been lying still all night. Already can’t wait to shower properly and be able to lie on my side! But I’m so head over heels already! Xxx

Hi, I took 7 days off and by the second day was able to do bits of cleaning, I took the kids to a play centre but I just sat and watched them. Like has been said, we’re all different but I was ok. I work as a teacher and it was pushing doors open that I was mindful of, getting nudged on corridors etc…good luck xx
