Recovery time- bday 1 week after BA!!!

Hi girls, I’ve got my pre-op next week but can’t wait until then to find out… what is the recovery time (like the average time it takes you to get back to normal-ish?) It’s my friend’s 21st bday exactly 1 week after my ba and I’ve got no idea whether I’d be physically up for it or not! Thank youuuuu xx

Everyone is different but i defo wouldnt of been able to go to a club after 1 week, 1 week is the first point u can actually drink alcohol but going clubbing would be a different story, i went to a bar for the first time at 2 weeks po an a club at 4 weeks, once youve had a ba u become very protective of ur boobs an the thought of someone barging into me was terrifying lol xx

i went to a friends engagement 1 week po and even had a boogie on the dance floor lol, i felt fine but as flicky said everyone is diffrent xx

Hey Hun, I’m nearly 3 weeks post op and still in pain and not back to normal yet. x

yeah I found going out shopping on a busy saturday daunting enough 7 days po, so scared someone was going to bump into me, not sure I’d be up for clubbing/big night out. Plus even if I had wanted to go out, nothing would have fitted cos I was so bloated from the medication.x

defo agree with the clothes! not just the bloating but cos the sports bras are so high up ya back an massive straps its hard to find anything decent to wear over them lol xx

ha yeah thats true flicky1, and depending ont he surgeon you might have bandages etc on that may show – I was all taped up until my 7 day po with the nurse.

Everyone is different as heidboo75 says but I wouldn’t plan anything important, just in case! x

omg i must have had an easy time, i was out clothes shopping 1 day po lol, and all my clothes still fitted even with the bloadting lol, i would def decide how you feel at the time kerris and we def all heal and take pain diffrently, i have a high pain thresh hold so nothing keeps me from getting out and about lolxx

I work in a salon an one of my clients had a ba a week before me an she was back in the salon getting the full works 1 day po lol me on the other hand didnt go back into the salon for 2 weeks so everyone is different!

im really worried about this too with mine…i really wanted it sooner but there were no more appointments, so i have 2 weeks and 3 days till i have to go on placement in hospital and im so so scared i wont be able to do my job properly ? xxx

God, I love this forum lol Thanks so much girls, you’ve really helped me- by the sounds of it I should just wait and see how I am, I can’t believe how differently everyone recovers. What is the medication that bloats you??!!! xx

I was fine 1wk po I was already walking into town at 1 day po taking care if the kids on my own from day 3po and stopped all medication on day 2. But every1 is so differnt xx
