    Hi
So from what Iv read on here recovery with overs seem to be much easier but Iv seen how much it varies for people! The only date my surgeon can do is 22nd December, am I mad to think I will be ok for Christmas??
I have young kids, and we have family over on the day, although my husband can cook (with my direction 😂)
Please tell me your experiences for 1-4 days post op if you had overs x

Hi there. I am currently day 5 post op and had 400cc overs. I was up and about straight away, I feel mostly normal. I’ve not experienced any pain, just some discomfort which eased a lot yesterday. Being mobile really does help. I had some bloating the first 3 days and that added to the discomfort but thankfully that seems to have gone down a lot yesterday.
My kids are older so I don’t have to pick them up, but I’ve been doing normal household tasks as I would, just trying not to do heavy lifting as I don’t want to pull at my stitches.
I think provided you are prepared for Christmas beforehand (wrapping presents etc) then you will be fine, and it’s the perfect time to recover and take it easy. Just make sure hubby is the one getting the turkey in and out of the oven. Good luck with it xx

Thanks Vanda, that has made me feel better! I just don’t want to ruin Christmas for the kids! I’m also having 400 -450 overs, do you have any before and after pics you could share? What’s your stats? X
