Response times from PC…………..Very slow??

Hello ladies,
Just wondering if anyone has contacted their PC and doesn’t have a reply or a very late response.
I have emailed my PC twice and text her since yesterday morning and have has no response at all…..
I’m asking if I can see my surgeon again before my op and am not getting a reply…. Time is ticking and I’m not sure I’ve made the right choice in CC’s.
What would you do if you weren’t getting a reply from your PC?

@jodie I have had the same problem throughout my experience so far. I ended up ringing the hospital direct and noone answered there until I rang several times. I also had a word with my PC about it and the PC Manager. I am seeing my surgeon on 2nd March and also doing pre-op same day then I have my surgery on 20th March. What clinic are you going to? xx

I had that too, but found she was busy with initial consultations, I just rang up the office and they asked her to ring me back x

I think this is a common problem from what I have seen on here. @Becky is right they’re mostly busy with consultations and get a little side tracked. Just keep trying and I’m sure she will get back to you as soon as she can.

I’ve also found I’ve sent a few emails and texts only to find it was my PCs day off :s

Thanks fir replying girls… It’s not good enough though really, we’re paying a lot of money for this procedure, and they seem really nice and helpful when you meet them, but when you’ve booked it and paid a deposit, they don’t seem to bother.
At first I struggled to pay my deposit but was emailing constantly with frequent replies, not my deposit is down, she’s useless.
Early last week I emailed a complaint, no reponse at all….. Very disappointed 🙁

@lisamaria I am at Fitzroy surgery on the 4th March with Dr Linda Fiumara.
I’ve had my pre-op and surgeon consultation, but really want to see the surgeon again before my op. Basically jsut been told that I have to have what we initially decided adn that’s that. I’m so gutted

I know what you mean I struggled to get hold of my PC when I wanted to pay the rest of my operation off I assumed they would want my money ASAP in the end all I got was a reply telling to ring the clinic and do it. Took 4 phone calls because no one was answering!

@lisamarie I emailed her asking for another surgeon meeting and this is what she mailed me back:
Hi Jodie,

Linda is in Bristol on 19th February if you can make it there? Unfortunately she isn’t in Cardiff before your procedure date x

I couldn’t make Bristol, I work full time and struggle to get out early or book time off anyway. She is in Cardiff on the 2nd March but I suppose this is too close to the procedure date to change anything.

@Danielle I’ve text her this morning too but no reply. I’m not sure of the number to call the office in Cardiff :/

Just had a mail from Mod? Someone will be in contact with me shortly because my PC is out of the clinic 🙂 Hopefully get resolved

I’ve seen that some people cc option has been changed moments before the operation as they’ve changed their mind last minute, or they try one size and if the surgeon doesn’t think it fits well the do another! but at my surgeon consultation my PC said right now we’ve confirmed a size I’ll “order your new boobies” lol

So do they actually do this or was she just talking rubbish?

Hi Jodie, I would definitely keep contacting and make another appointment with the surgeon if your having concerns about your size, sooner rather than later. You still have time to change your mind if you want to, you are the one living with it after all. I was panicking about my size as well and contacted my PC as I suddenly thought I wanted to see the implants as I only tried on sizers. In the end everything was ok but if you want to see the surgeon again you should really insist on doing so. Linda was my surgeon to and she seems really caring and I’m sure she would try and accommodate this x

@siennajj Thanks Sienna, I have had a phone call from the Clinic now, will call them back in my break. But seems okay now. Think I will get to see her. My PC did mis-inform me mind which I am unhappy about! Just hope they will be quick to resolve the issue xx

I’ve been experiencing the same problem with my pc. She was good at first however as soon as she got my deposit it’s like she disappeared. And silly me for being so excited I paid before my consultation. I would leave messages and she would never get back to me. My surgery is booked for 2nd March and I have been going to Fitzroy clinic since December. She forgets out conversations as its so long before she gets back to me. I’ve lost confidence in her and often feel like I’m stressing out. It’s a lot of money and a life changing experience that you want it to go as smoothly as possible. I requested to change my pc yest as I’ve had enough now and my surgery is right around the corner. The pc manager will be contacting me on Monday to discuss thing’s. It was hard but I know it’s for the best and I need to feel comfortable. We should all be excited not fretting. Hope you all get things sorted xx

Was your pc Victoria by any chance? I had the same trouble she’s. Left nottingham now. Sophia the receptionist is fantastic though she should be a pc xx

Hi Charlie yeah I still haven’t heard anything off my PC not even an apology. But the clinic seen my post and called me to arrange another meeting with my surgeon. Don’t think I need my PC now though. Definitely look to get another one especially if you haven’t even has your consultation yet! Xx

I think everyone struggles with their PC i call and leave messages but they never get back to you.
it’s a case of keep trying and trying, it’s a massive pain but then when i see her it kind of makes up for it!
it is something MYA needs to crack down on though especially if you have paid! you should be treated better once you have paid!

If you are struggling to get hold of your PC, I just spoke to the person who answered the phone, explained I’d called a few times and she ended up making the appointment for me!

Hi Vanessa. Yes this is definitely something MYA need to work on. The surgeons are fantastic and so are the PC’s when you first meet them but after you’ve paid your deposit, they don’t really care. It is really bad! But I did get good treatment from Beth at Cardiff MYA and my surgeon so made up for Gemma’s rudeness xxx
