    Hi guys

I had Vaser last October and it turned out pretty good except for some uneven areas/missed pockets of fat which I am now in the process of getting revised because they have been really bothering me – especially considering the money paid out.

I emailed Mya in August and eventually saw a new nurse at the begining of Sept (mine had left company and emails did not get picked up until I chased by phoning) to start the process, the nurse checked me out and could see my cosmetic issue/non medical to forwarded me back to Dr joffilly for his final say so.

Had to wait around 3 weeks, saw Dr Joffilly who was great and agreed that I was eligible for a revision and that it would only be quick this time around, pretty much in and out. He marked all the areas agreed on a sheet and we discussed getting fitted in before xmas.

It’s now nearly 3 weeks post this meeting and ive just called Mya to check how my revision process was going through (was previously told could take around 21 days but considering how much of the year is left thought should chase.)

Been told now that the revision needs to be checked by the team and a nurse again and maybe even re checked by Dr joffilly and thT my pre-op would meed to be 6 weeks before my revision anyway (this seems odd as my original op I got booked in for within 3 weeks once they took my money) – was also told this time limit is ‘for my health and to see if it should be done’?! (My issue is non medical and no one was worried about this and waiting 6 wks before my money was taken hmm…)

I was really impressed with my appointment with Dr joffilly and how efficient everything has been so far and Mya has been fantastic until this point – but now feel like I may be being led down a very long and drawn out garden path/it possibly won’t happen… can anyone who has had a revision possibly let me know what their process was like as im starting to worry I’m going to be made to wait ages with unsightly lumps that I’ve already waited until the year mark to let settle/complain about.

    Thanks

Nat, I fear I’ll have the same problem on of my flanks is marginally larger than the other. And isn’t bruised or painful like the rest of me, also I’m day 8 today i had vaser of flanks, lower and upper tummy and pubic mons. My pressure garment gives me awful back ache throughout the night was yours the same? Also I’ve been for my 1st Lymph drainage massage today and the physiotherapist that completed it told me I’m in the wrong garment as the pubic region has no compression at all and is 3 times bigger normal with swelling, I did fear this and mentioned it to the nurse and she said I was OK but I’ll mention it again Monday ๐Ÿ™
I hope you manage to get sorted x

Hi Stacy as your still early days I would give it time as it does take a while to settle – but defo ask about your garment.
I did have more bruising on one side too but got away with not much so don’t know if it effects the final outcome or not!
I was in a lot of pain when I had the garment at first and it did really hurt my sides and back too – your nurse can cut it down which makes it a bit better and can also help you move around more easily/less noticeable.
I had the same as you except for the pubic area so can’t help on that front but am sure u would need extra padding for there too!
Kya have just confirmed my revision date so I’m less panicked now… I have to say they have been great I was just worrying as hadn’t heard for so long when they had always been efficient before. Touch wood all goes to plan and it doesmy change.

Hi Sabrina – I did and it went well, I still have a few small contours that bother me in certain lights but its if I’m being really picky (I think – dont think anyone would notice unless told!) Revision was super speedy amd my issues were addressed and joffilly had no qualms doing it …hope it all goes well for you xxx

    Hi,
Can I ask, was the initial procedure with Joffily or was he the one who corrected the surgery?

    Thanks

    Hi Nat
Glad to hear itโ€™s all gone well for you.
I have just been approved today for my revision Iโ€™m not expecting miracles but Iโ€™m hoping my stomach can even out a little as it looks awful now…… did you have any more fat removed or did he just do the lumps? thanks x
