Rhino – Swelling four weeks post op

Hi,

I have put 4 weeks pics up! Swelling is still really bad at the tip and bridge which i expected and looks completely different from both sides – which i was expecting as i know this is normal!!

But i noticed yesterday theres a bump on the bridge that wasnt there when the cast came off… not sure if its swelling or if its a bump and the swelling going down has made it visible.. Just worried! anyone else had this?

I had a look at my old nose though and im sooo happy i got it done.. such an improvement!! Just hope the swelling gets loads better!!

The swelling can stick around for a while honey,dont worry,over the last 12 weeks I have seen lumps and bumps come and go,each time you look in the mirror you will see something new,your nose has suffered a lot of trauma,the swelling will fluctuate on bridge,tip and sides over the next four to six months,it can take up to a year to see the end result,and remember lovely,you are most probably the only one noticing this as we tend to scrutinise ourselves very closely,the nose will keep improving over the next few months,so if you are happy now,give it a few months and you will be over the moon with the results,I am. You know where I am if you have any worries honey,xx

yeah dont worry sweet…if the bump wasnt there when the cast came off then its def swelling…im still swollen sometimes and im nearly 7 months post op wtf??? hahah xxx

I still have “bumps” some days but it does get better… honest:)

My Stitches are still in and im 3 weeks post op…cant wait till they ‘disolve’ as they doing my nut in!! My nose got really hot yesterday and got a few shooting pains…but think its because i have a bad cold today!! Its all worth it!!!! xx

Hi, five weeks post op and I’ve still got the dissolvable stitches in, so still breathing through my mouth, I get paranoid about my breath and brush my teeth constantly!

Oh well, be there soon x

I have a bump in exactly the same place and im 3 months post op. xxx

Thanks girls thats good to know we all get bumps and they come and go… i guess im just gonna have to wait and see with all the swelling and not judge it too soon… am so happy with it though and even if it stayed like it is now its much better than my old nose!!! its exactly what i wanted cant wait to see it in 6 months time when most of the swelling will hopefully be gone

Yeh im four weeks post op… internal stitches are still there and breathing through my mouth!! Was able to breathe through my nose a bit but this cold weather is making it worse!
