I have been very unhappy with my nose for a long time now just wanted to see what people experiences were with MYA and how much it cost? Thanks!

Hey amy, I had my nose done last july but not with mya…so I’m probably not much help lol but I went with hospital group after having consultations with them and mya. Hospital group specialise in facial surgery more whereas mya are more about boobs. I’m very pleased with it anyway, they did a fantastic job It cost me around three n half grand so at the time was cheaper than mya. Have yu been to see anyone else? X

i had a consultation with the hospital group but havent taken any further steps as found the staff that worked there rather pushy which i didnt like.

can u tell me some more of your experience with them, was it a painful proceedure as they have told me it isnt but i bruise very easily which can hurt at times.

what was wrong with ur nose? also what is ur age?

I know what you mean, the other month I went to a consultation with them for a breast enlargement and the staff I seen that day completly put me off going with them again. Also the surgeon I seen just didn’t listen to me at all and was trying to make me go alot bigger than what I was asking for. But last year I had a great experience with them. My surgeon, mr stratten was brilliant, I had a slight bump and felt my nose was too long so he got rid of my bump n gave me more of a slight ski slop and shortend the bottom. I’m a big wuss but I actual had no pain at all. I woke up just feeling really tired and out of it, abit drousy like having the flu but couldn’t feel my nose at all. I only used the painkillers on my 1st day home just incase I woke up in pain but I didn’t through the whole recovery. It was abit frustrating when going to bed tho, having to sleep propped up n struggling to breathe out my nose. They took my cast off a week later and it was really swollen so I wasn’t over the moon about it yet but still alot happier. Once the swelling had gone I was loving my nose and really pleased with it

I did look a mess tho when it was first done, my eyes were covered in black n blue n yellow bruises and they swollen aswell so you could barely see my actual eye lol but luckily the bruising went within the week!

I’m 19, was just turned 18 when I had it done, how old are you? What do you want changing about yours? Sorry about the essay by the way! X

So u wanted a boob job too? Have u had it done yet? What did the staff do to put u off? I found the sales woman to be very pesty and kept ringing up even when I asked her not to which is the same with mya too.

I saw mr stratten too but i could bearly understand his broken english lol

The sales woman told me he was a top surgeon but obviously she would say that.

I too have a bump and have never liked the sizeand shape as I feel it doesnt suit my face. I have disliked it ever since I can remember- I am 28 now.

How long did your brusing and swelling last?

Also did u feel that having your nose done made your feel a bit unatural at all? what were friends/families reactions because I just know mine wont react well to it!

yeh boob job too! lol think ive got the surgery bug! ive never been happy with my nose or boobs anyway, im pretty certain theres nothing else ill end up changing, dont want to end up looking a freak! lol

I just felt the staff were abit unprofessional, and when im going to be paying all the money i want the best i can get! Me and my boyfriend were sitting in the waiting room for ages while the staff were just trying to talk to me about there new diet milkshake their selling which didnt really interest me since i wouldnt consider myself overweight lol. When i finily seen the patient co-ordinator she was really breif and it felt like she just wanted to get rid of me. I told her id seen MYA and they suggested i have the implant over the muscle because i have enough breast tissue for it, but she started ranting off about how she couldnt believe MYA would tell me something so stupid then spend the next 10 minutes slagging them off. Then i seen the surgeon and couldnt understand a single word he was sayying apart from ‘no. You need bigger implant!’ over and over again! so all in all it was a pretty bad consultation.

I struggled to understand Mr Stratten as well but luckily I had my dad with me and he seemed to know what he was saying. He did a great job tho so I havent really got a bad word to say about him

I know how you feel ive always hated mine, it look okay face on but i hated my profile, just seemed like it was too big for my face.

my bruising went within the first week which suprised me because i looked a mess and it seemed to be gettin worse each day until about the 4th day! By about 3 weeks after I had my cast off i thought the swelling had completly gone, was so pleased with my new nose but when i went back for my 6 week check up they said it was still very swollen and wont be normal until about 6 months which is apparently normal. But to be honest it looks exacly the same to me lol probably just a slight change.

I didnt tell anyone I was having it done apart from a friend, my manager because i had to to get the time off work! And obviously my mum and dad…who decided to tell the whole family..lol thanks mum. so I had everyone telling me I shouldnt do it n dont need it but i felt they were just trying to be nice. They knew how much my nose upset me so supported me in having it done and even lent me the money until I could pay it back a few months later So it was osrt of a case of if im happy their happy…even tho i broke away from the family nose! lol

My family somtimes make jokes calling me plastic nose and stuff but their only teasing and i think its deffinatly the best thing ive ever done so it dosnt bother me

Plus I didnt tell my boyfriend until after i had it done so he has a little moan sometimes but just because i didnt tell him lol.

If you dislike your nose that much then your family n friends should just be happy for you changing it so id say if its what you want then go for it! im sure theyl support you I really am so happy I did it and dont regret it for one second! x
