Hi guys! I had my rhinoplasty 2 days ago in London. Its a bit freaky for me to look in the mirror as i can clearly see my nostrils also my nose is very short now and looks a bit piggy?! The gap between my upper lip and nose seems to be massive too. Has any of you had similar experience? Is the tip going to go down with the swelling? pls help

I had closed rhinoplasty about 6 week ago, things kept changing all the time, but once the cast was off things sempt to settle down into one position, altho there is still some swelling, it is not at all noticible.

Who did your surgery? Did you have open/closed xxx

Honestly Mmon, loads of people have freaked out about the piggy look, on other websites too, it will settle down and once the cast is off like Hingsy says it will look completely different. You really can’t tell with the cast on! Around my top lip and underneath my nose I was quite stiff for about 3 weeks, felt weird when I talked and smiled, it was like I’d had botox around that area…….sadly it didn’t last long! My wrinkles are back lol. Good luck xxx

I’m 1 week post op today, and I keep saying to people, do you think I’m going to look like a pig?! cause every time I look in the mirror, I feel like its really upturned!

Its nice to know I’m not the only one thinking it :) and also good to know that it WILL look different when the cast is off

Yep the miss piggy look was a bit freaky!

As soon as the cast is off it Looks much better, even with the swelling.

Showed my parents the recovery photos last weekend, and they didn’t think it was me x

The gap between the nose and mouth does look big, and area is really tight, but it does improve, I’m nearly two months now.

    Happy healing x
