Has anyone had rhinoplasty who also has a toddler..
I am wanting mine done in April when my daughter will be 13 months, is this a good idea.?
Will I be able to manage my daughter on my own after surgery (my boyfriend will take 1 week off from work)? what happens if my daughter accidentally bumps my nose, will this ruin it totally?
I want this done so badly, all the pictures I have seen are amazing. I don’t want to wait any longer to get rid of this hump but I don’t want to go through the surgery and it not be worth it
Arghhh the decisions

Hey,
If you message rinaule, she doesn’t have a kid but she works in a play group. I think mr g told her to take a month off work…could be longer, as the risk of one of the children accidentally hitting her nose was high. I think if you were really careful and aware, youd probably manage. But if you get hit in he nose for the first few weeks after I think it’s likely yor nose would move. When I asked mr g about banging yor nose he said to me you often don’t notice you’ve damaged it until a year later when the swelling all goes.
I felt crappy for probably 10days but then was ok to do most normal things, I know your not meant to lift anything over a couple of pounds for 6 weeks or so, so not sure if youd be able to pick up your daughter for a while.
I would ask the surgeon for advice and see what he says. Completely understand how your feeling, I thinnest of us just could not wait to flirt rid of our old noses xxx
heyheyhey, georgia is def right!! if your boyfriend takes the week off thatl be good because the first week is when you cant really do much atall,if he could take 2 weeks off that would be even better! im carer as well and he wasnt happy with me going back to work for atleast 2 months but im back after 1month and i do find it hard to be honest, bending down to pick up something alot of pressure goes to my nose makes me dizzy sometimes! and having to turn over a 600stone man god suprise my nose dont fall off!
my friend has a kid tho and she coped fine she had help for 2 weeks with picking her up and stuff shes around same age as yours i think! but she said she found it easy as long as you dont over do it! and she wacked her in the face lol but just do be careful that she dont wack you in the face!
just go for it, i think the worse that can happen is that daughter has a very strong hand and literally knocks your nose out of place but i doubt that will happen haha! i also headbutted my boyfriend by accident and hit my nose, iv hit it with umbrella and thats all after 2weeks post op! just take it easy with picking her up as can cause nose bleeds xxx
Iv just read my post! Apologies for the last line…bloody autocorrect lol!!!
I meant to say… I think most of us could not wait to get rid of our old noses xxx
I think my boyfriend could probably get two weeks off work to help, if that would be better.. I’m paranoid that if I get it done then il get a mini punch to the face and end up with a nose worse that ever.. I had a BA and didn’t think twice about it but I’m fussing so much about my nose.. Impossible to hide if anything goes wrong lol..
Georgiaj how come your not supposed to lift anything heavy? Pressure etc?
Rinaule how is your nose after your bumps lol?
I have my first consultation on 19th January in Manchester..
My other dilemma is Dr G only operates in London and I live in Preston so a longgg way.. BUT Preston first trust hospital is literally 15 mins from my front door..
Don’t know if it’s going to be possible to have Dr G do me
will be a million times easier with baby etc to have a surgeon that operates at Preston first trust. Think the lady mentioned Mario Russo? I have only ever seen pictures/heard of Dr G and his amazing skills.!
Arghh I need to move to London.! xxx
