I have to have my 7 day check up at the holborn clinic and its Just occured to me I’m going to have to travel on the flipping tube with this cast on my face!! Has anyone had to do this? It doesn’t take that long for me by tube as I’m right by a tube station but I’m not sure I could handle it, might have to cab it or consider driving
! Xxx
hey, i have my check up in 2 days and there is NO way im getting on public transport i am 100per cent getting a taxi to the holborn clinic!!!! goodluck!!! x
heey, cast was taken off today, i had to travel from OXFORD lol on a coach and get two tubes, it was all ok just make sure no1 goes into you. i got alot of pressure but nothing i couldnt handle! also, people are so shocked to see someone with a cast on their face, there too scared to even go near you so dont worry! i did get stares but thats just people being nosey, i would stare too haha all ok tho xx
I wish the cast removal could be done at Highgate during weekends – at least then its easier to get to and friends wont be working so you can get lifts! Bit of a pain heading to Central London, esp as we cant drive either. We should be pre-warned about the potential of getting a cab for cast removal day x
I know, half of me thinks sod it I’ll just get the underground and wrap a scarf around my face lol but I really don’t know if I can do it? I know no one will say anything but it’s pretty obvious what I’ve had done lol I’d stare at anyone too! Why couldn’t they just do it at highgate it’s so inconvenient! It didn’t even occur to me until the other day! It’s either face congestion charge and struggle to find parking around there , get an expensive cab or man up and take the cheapest and quickest way and get the tube…. I might have to hold a newspaper over my face and cut eye holes out ha ha xx
my sister was going to drop me but i thought forget it, im the sort of person though where i dont care haha i even went shopping, and iv been milton keynes shopping with it on! by day 12 you shouldnt be really bruised and the swelling should of gone down so you should feel more comfortable by then! i think taxi would cost loads where are you coming from? xx
I’m lucky cos I don’t have much bruising! It’s just vanity is getting in the way!! LOL rinaule can’t believe u went shopping as well! I live in Harrow which is north west London so although it’s not miles away it’ll still cost loads! I rekon I’ll just brave it! Sod it, never going to see them again! Xx
haha i really dont care, if anything involves me spending money on clothes IM THERE even if my arm was hanging off!! if you feel good on the day just get the tube it really isnt that bad at all
and i had to get the tube and coach back with gooey stuff hanging off my nose&face :l gross xxx
haha rinaule you are such an inspiration to post op rhino girls haha! i may be going out to lunch tomorrow after my post op check up/stitches removal in birmigham tomorrow. at least its in birmigham ha, i can just drive there n takes about 40 mins. all i have to worry about it people looking at me when stopped at traffic lights!
i reckon i can do it… still bruised but not swollen, people can stare all they like i suppose just hope i dont chicken out of a nice lunch ahaa!
xxx
haha i really dont care! but do take it easy, dont stay out for too long the first day i went out, i felt really dizzy and the pressure made it worse! but when i went milton keynes i was fine, think it was because i was having a stroke over how many clothes there were! just dont rush for anyone! its so nice to get out though after being inside for so long makes you feel alot better and fresh xxx
I just went for a walk… Had some strange looks but I think people must think uve been in an accident! It was only around the corner but I think I was walking a bit to fast cos my nose started to throb a bit after! Back into my little cave I go! Xxx
