Rhinoplasty Mr Gonschoir- had stitches out today

Hi everyone,

Thought I’d carry on with my rhinoplasty experience…Its a week now since surgery and I have minimal swelling and the bruises are fading a lot. Just had my stitches out, which didn’t hurt at all. Feels great to be free of them and the tape on my nose! Can also see the tip much more clearly, which looks smaller like I wanted. It feels really weird to touch it though, tingly and the scar is quite numb. The scar isn’t too bad at all, I can easy cover with make-up until the redness fades (though I won’t bother until the first time I actually go out when the cast is off. Had lots of dried blood up my nose which is gross and actually very difficult and a little sore to get out.

Obviously I can’t see my full nose yet as still have the cast on, but I can 100% tell a difference and I think (and hope!) that I’m going to like it. Will update when cast comes off!

That’s great, u seem to be making brilliant progress in a week! Love reading ur up-dates. I’ve got a consultation with dr devlin in Glasgow tomorrow, so nervous. Not much on the forum about him so am thinking of also going to see dr gonschior as he seems to get great reviews. X ps is ur breathing any better?

Yes its got better, but I don’t think I’ll be able to breathe completely until the cast comes off, so at the moment still breathing through my mouth, which is annoying! I keep trying to clean it with cotton buds, but it seems impossible. It looks clear and then I wake up the next day and its not. There is a lot of dry blood still Never mind, not long now! Oooh that’s good, really like katies new nose, they did a great job, think she got hers done in America! That dried blood must be so annoying!! They will prob give it a good clean when ur cast comes off! Not long now! Have u told many people? I’m not going to, but dread the moment when have to go back to work n people will be looking n saying has she had nose job! Keep us up-dated!! X

eliza81 i was the same as you…i hardly told anyone other than mum, dad and boyfriend and best friend! other than that no one has guessed if had my nose done they just see something is different. I went really blonde after i had it done so i just said it must be my hair and they believed me! I didn’t want to tell too many people as other people have so many opinions and i wanted it done for me no one else!

lorlor77 Glad you feel better now the stiches are out! I didn’t have stitches i had closed surgery, i did however have blood but that will go soon then you’ll be able to breathe much easier. xxx

I’m the exact same! Haven’t told hardly anyone accept mum, dad, sisters, bf and best friend! I can really tell the tip is smaller, but when I showed my bf last night he was like ‘I can’t really notice, it looks the same to me’. So I could have had it done without him knowing I think, which made me confident that people won’t definitely guess. Then again, I could probably shave my hair off and he wouldn’t notice! haha, typical man. When I had the stitches out yesterday and the bottom part of the tape removed (because I had open) I started to think I was going to have to tell everyone because to me, its such a difference already, but now my bf has said that I’m not going to! Exactly, there are so many ‘anti- plastic surgery’ people I know that would say why on earth did I get it done, I didn’t need it etc. but it was my choice and I’m happy with my decision (so far!) I have another really close friend who I didn’t tell, because when I had my BA a few years ago she really went on and on and judged me for it saying I was going to look stupid and fake (I was a small b and she is an e, so really annoyed me!). She changed her mind when she saw them done as they look really natural. I feel bad lying to her about where I am and why I can’t go out etc. but to be fair her reaction to my last surgery ruined her chances of me telling her I was getting my nose done! I am done with surgery now as I only ever wanted my boobs and nose done. I love my boobs and I really hope I’ll love the nose too! xx

Me too, only told my mum, dad, fiance and best friend so far!! Others know ive been unhappy with my nose for years but im sure they think i wouldnt actually get a nose job! Had a consultation in Glasgow today, the surgeon was lovely. Felt really comfortable with him. However, I get the feeling he does a lot more NHS reconstructive work than cosmetic. Did u ask or do u know how many rhinoplasty Dr Gonschoir does in a week? Wondering whether to visit him for consultation also? x

Fantastic! I had my consultation with Dr. Gonschior! Can’t wait until I can get some money together and save a date. I do trust him. I trust that he will try to achieve the look that people want only up to a point where it still looks natural. There are lots of noses that I love, but am not sure will look natural on my face!
