hi anna i totally know were u r coming from i have always been the same but your boobs will stop growing around 23 thats when i wanted them but i got pregnant when i was 22 since then had another baby and now 27 i still want another but i but not yetbut i think what the point in hiding my body from my partener and my self i hate to look in the mirrow with no bra on , but with having babys i got loads of streach marks i want some confidence back on 1 hand i would b great but on the other your only 17 still got time to grow xx
I’m exactly the same as you, I’ve wanted one ever since I was about 16 years old (I’m now 19 in February).
I was set on having one as soon as I turned 18 and went for several consultations shortly after my 18th birthday. Mum & Dad just thought it was a phase and thought I was just being silly and they didn’t take me seriously. After a year of thinking and researching I had my surgical consultation last month and decided that I really did want it done.
So many people have said “oh my god you’re far too young to have it done, what are you thinking, you’ll just regret it” But at the end of the day it’s my decision and I do want it done.
You have to be so mature about this as it’s a big operation and will ultimately change your life. It’s also a lot of money, and you don’t want to end up regretting it. You do not want to get it done if you’re only 50% sure about it. You need to be 100% sure that you want it done.
If I were you I would definitely do some deep research, have lots of consultations with different companies and surgeons to help you find somewhere that can help you with your specific needs.
And as for you parents, let them know that you are serious about it, that you’ve done your research and that it’s not just a phase. They won’t come round straight away, it will take time. But they’ll get there if you’re serious about it.
I hope this helps xxx.
hi pinky thakns for that i know what you mean with the parnter thing ive been with mine for 3years and although i am young wont let him touch my breasts or anything and its just become worse as we have grown up together ive never taken my bra off infront of him as im just so self concious! Anna x
aoifex hey! ah finally someone i can actually relate to, yeah thats what i get all the time “your just being silly they will grow, you will regret it” heard it all but they dont understand where you are coming from mine havnt grown at all since about 13/14, i am around 95% sure i want them dont the only thing im worried about is if i will regret it in years to come and you have to have them out after 10/15 years dont you? youv really helped me and im going to take your advice and go to alot of different companies
where are you getting your surgery done at? xxx
Once you’ve had a few consultations then your decision will be so much easier. It will help you so much.
I know exactly what you mean, I got “you’re still growing” alll the time but I personally stopped growing when I was 16 and will not grow anymore (medical reasons).
I would actually wait a year or so if I were you to give you time to do some research, and actually see if you do suddenly have a growth spurt, cos you never know!
Yeah, I was told that it’s likely I’d have to have to them done again sometime down the line. But I know someone who’s had the same implants for 15 years, so I guess it all depends on your lifestyle (like if you get pregnant, or have lost/gained a lot of weight).
I’m going with MYA. I also had consultations with Transform, MyBreast, The Hospital Group, and also a local hospital where I live. I chose MYA simply because I liked it the best, I like my surgeon, and I think they can give me what I want

thats good to hear, hmm yeah i might do but i guess once ive had so many consoltations and such like a year or so could pass by anyway
and i see hmm yeah it must be, ive been looking and reaserching mya now for about a year and reading forums blah blah and it does seem like a really good company but i suppose its when you go for the consoltation aswell t see if they meet my needs, ohwell thankyou youv really helped me
i hope you op goes well be sure to let me know!
xxx
Ever since I discovered MYA I’ve practically lived on this forum! Haha. It is really helpful talking to other girls though, it’s so reassuring
Also, the way I see it, the most important thing is your surgeon. He’s the one who’s going to be operating on you, so they are the top priority!
Glad I helped hun

Hey girl I had my first ba when I was 18 aswell
I think it was one of the best decisions I’ve made and I deffinatly don’t regret it..I knew my boobs would probably grow more anyway but you can’t beat the amazing shape of implants! if its something you’ve wanted for a long time id say go for it, i’d also highly recommend dr Adamo! x
Hiya, personally if you’re so self conscious now and you have been with your partner a while I cannot see you regretting your decision. I am 21 and split up with my ex 6 months ago. I was with him for 5 years and even after that time still covered my self up. No matter how much he reassured me it doesn’t change your own opinion of yourself, if you hate what you’ve got its rare your opinion changes, lucky if it does. I had my op two weeks ago and havn’t regretted it for a minute. I’m stuck in a sports bra but already have more confidence. My family and my 5 close girly friends are the only ones that know about my op, Im not the type of person to put them on show etc but its just nice for your self confidence
I say go for it!!xx
Hey im pretty much the same, im 20 almost 21 and very small practically a 32aa, it upsets me alot when i go on holiday with my mates. They have great figures…great boobs
but it just makes me feel like im 12 which makes me have no confidence. I too have been teased, but the main thing is going out with my mates and not feeling the best i could be.
Again i was with my ex for 9 months and in the back of my head i just kept thinking ‘do you not care i dont have anything?’. I too was very self aware of my breasts and have been thinking bout have ba for the last 2 years. I havn’t properly talked about it with my parents, but when i do mention is when things like extreme makeover are on, they say things like you don’t need need it your beautiful the way you are or they’ll grow when your pregnant. But as most of us would say, by then i may not care as much as i do now as i have someone who loves me bla bla bla. BUT i still would love to have ba, im just worried bout the result, weither they will look fake or not.
Ive looked at before and after photos and they look great but im still a lil worried. Are there any girls who have had a ba going from the size i am to say a 32b or round that size??? How do they look etc also who did you have it with???
thanks
you have to do whats right for you, i doubt you will regret your decision but you have to feel right in yourself and only you know in your heart of hearts if now is the right time for you. I am 32 and have been wanting one since my teens and i ummed and arred lots for years finding excuses why now wasn’t the right time and in october and for no real reason i just decided and i knew it was time. I had it done 9 days ago and truly love my new additions. theres no harm in waiting till you are sure, you can use the time to save some money for this or to blow on something else if you decide not to do it. Like i say you have to do it for you and for the right reasons or it will never make you happy. Don’t be scared of the op though it was fine honest. xxx
Thanks everyone for your comments youv all really helped me in different ways without writeing to everyone individually haha, still reaserching hard, 90% sure im going to get it done however if anyone has anymore tips or reccomends any surgeons? would be even more appriciated
Mya is still looking fab and my number one choice however still have consoltations to go to when i turn 18 in a few weeks!
xxx
I’d save the money first and then decide, it could take a few years to save in which time if no more growth happens then you can book the surgery the same day (and if you decide against it then you have £4k spare to treat yourself with).
It’s amazing how much your body will change as you get older (also you need to account for contraception as the hormone ones can make your boobies HUUUUUGE) but ultimately it’s down to how you feel about yourself, is knowing that you’re working towards the operation at a later date enough?
Do loads of research, you sound like you have your head screwed on, best of luck!
