    Hi girls,
I had a breast augmentation around 6 years ago, and I recently discovered a lump in my breast .. I went for an ultra sound at the hospital and they found traces of silicon and advised me to contact my surgeon. I’m currently waiting for a call back from my PC but could someone please advise will this cost me to get my implants replaced?

Depends on who you went with. We all know 100% that implants aren’t a life long device and we sign away that we understand this. Warranty isn’t usually long either with e.g. Mya, so may have to pay. Better off contacting your surgeon

What type of implants did you have? i know Mentor have a warranty in the US for 10 years where they give some financial compensation but am not too sure if it’s in the UK as well. With Mya it seems to be 3 years according to their website.
But in most cases you would have to pay yourself for removal and replacement.

    Hi
I’m really similar – I had my implants around 5 years ago, recently found a lump and they couldn’t see clearly enough on the ultrasound. Been referred for an MRI but they think its a ruptured implant and silicone leakage. I’m worried either way at the moment!
Let me know what happens x

I’ve found a lump in my lymph node on 23/12/21 since found another two. I’ve had mammogram ultrasound and mri which has confirmed silicone seen mya surgeon and they only going to replace one. I’m at a loss to understand why only one when I’ve had them in now 6yrs surly there won’t be Asymmetrical look or feel the same with a 6yr age difference. Im also in limbo to who are removing the lumps at the moment has well.
I’ve ask for a enlargement but this is going to come at a extra cost. With spending the last 2-3mths over Xmas time two thinking I had cancer and been a mother of 6 I would of hoped mya would of coincided doing the procedure free of charge.
Anyone else had the same experience?
