Hi my surgeon said I could lie however I wanted after 24 hours as long as I was wearing the post op bra, the biggest problem I found laying on your back is getting back up again I was like a tortoise on its back trying to get up lol!! X

I laid on my back after 2 days as my back was killing me honestly that hurt more than my boobs ! You need to roll your shoulders and do some exercises I found that helped loads for me , try move as much as you can it’s because you’ve been so stiff , I felt like I walked like a hunch back for weeks xxx

    Hi Ladies,

This is a friendly reminder of your post-op advice from MYA.

It is advisable to sleep at a 45 degree angle for 2 weeks minimum (if possible) as it helps to reduce swelling and helps with symmetry. Often lying flat can cause shortness of breath. It is not advisable to lie on your side for 4-6 weeks.

I find that I slip down during the night and wake up on my back and it hurts quite a lot for about 10 mins. I’m 3 and a half weeks post op. Think I’m going to sleep upright until the pain goes away completely. Also apparently it’s really good for the skin on your face sleeping upright hahha
