I’m still in the research stages but planning to have my BA in July. I really want to have Saline implants…..does MYA offer this type of implant? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks x

I’m not sure how much they’re used in the UK. I know in the USA you can usually choose between the two but think silicone tends to be more widely used over here xx

I wasn’t sure as I’m still in the research stages. I want to be able to make the choice as obviously health is very important. Thanks for the reply.

Such a shame MYA do not offer Saline implants. Was so close to booking my BA for July, after reading the positive patient stories. But I can’t put silicone in my body.

Hi hun, just to let you know saline implants are made from the same silcone shell that silicone implants are made of so if you cant place silicone inside your body niether are good for you, silicone has come such a long way you can get gummy bear silicone which will not leak into the body x

I’ve read about the gummy bear implants, they do sound pretty safe. What implants have you chosen? It’s such a big decision I just don’t want to get it wrong. An expensive decision too!!!

All mentor are of a gummy bear consistancy which is what mya use, and it can vary depending on what your surgeon would choose for you as if you have under the muscle, a smooth implant is used which comes in different levels of cohesiveness which doesnt equate for much just how firm the implant is i.e cohesive I being softest and cohesive III the hardest, i myself had overs and my surgeon chose to use Mentor Siltex Round textured High Profile implants which i wasnt even aware of until after surgery (something i never asked about nor mentioned to me) and he used the cohesive II which is in between, i did know what size(500cc) and what profile though
im sure they choose which is better for you and also the look your trying to achieve, but all of them are just as safe as each other its all about look and feel xxx

I’m no expert but I’ve that the saline have a higher chance of rippling and the silicone actually feel more natural 🙂
